Michael and Christian are back from Orlando, FL where they participated in the Worldpac STX Supplier & Training Expo. It is the most exclusive training event in the automotive industry. STX 2022 featured more than 250 new technical and business classes for an extensive custom learning experience. Approximately 2,000 technicians, shop and business owners, service writers, suppliers and students attended the biennial Supplier and Trade Expo. The STX Curriculum included more than 50 EV, hybrid, high-voltage and ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) classes to help techs servicing the most advanced vehicles on the road. Michael and Christian finished each 6 classes on their way to be EV and AD Certified very soon.

"For more than twenty (20) years, TGA has performed all of the maintenance and upkeep on my 1995 Mercedes Benz E300D and my 1999 Mercedes Benz E300 Turbodiesel. "Hans and his team do amazing work. I brought in my Mercedes ML 350 for a complex engine hesitation / "stuttering" issue. The check-engine light had disappeared by the time I brought the car into Hans, so it was not easy to diagnose. His team went through a list of potential causes and figured it out over multiple days of test drives while continually keeping me in the loop. At the end, Hans figured out the issue (a rare combination of automatic load balancing and issues with some of the spark plugs). My car runs smootly now. I doubt that I would get this level of care at another shop. Danke, Hans!

CONGRATULATIONS IRONMAN CHRISTIAN
Christian is back at work from his Ironman Championship weekend in Utah.
1.2 miles swimming, 56 miles bike, 13.1 miles running. A total of 70.3 miles in 5hours, 42minutes and 19seconds.
Water temperature 59 degree F.
Biking 3162 feet uphill from starting Elevation. Run 1267 feet uphill from start elevation. Unreal for us normal human beings.
Congratulations Christian, good place too, we’re all so proud of you. 👏👏👏
BTW: Last year Christian qualified for a ZOOT racing gear team sponsored member and proudly wears their outfits.

Vintage Starter Rescue.
Our website states: “Giving Up Is Not In Our Vocabulary“
One of our valued customers had a starter failure on a 51 year old vintage car.
No new parts available anymore and our friends at the Starter and Alternator Shop said “Not Fixable”.
The commutator soldering rubbed on the brush holders and ground the armature field coils soldering off the commutator. It didn’t look good.
Well, during some after hours TLC, Old Craftsman Hans cleaned and soldered all armature coils beautifully back in place and aligned the assembly with spacers so that it can not happen again.

AVOID DEEP WATER! Flash floods in June caused a total loss of this water-stalled, BMW engine. Water is not compressible; therefore when water enters a cylinder and the piston moves up to compress the mixture, the piston is blocked and this causes major mechanical damage. Most engines have some or all connection rods bent which results in $$$$$ repair cost. This video shows the water splashing back out of the intake while David blows compressed air through a spark plug hole. www.t-g-a.com

At TGA, we have ALL the cool tools! Check this out: Procedure for Tightening a Porsche Center Lock. 1) Lift vehicle off ground. (Vehicle must never be supported by the wheel) 2) Use super long, special, torque wrench to tighten center bolt to 600 Nm, 3) Loosen central bolt by 60 degrees, 4) Tighten again to 600 Nm, +/- 30 Nm. 6) Secure by engaging locking pin into inner toothing of central bolt, 7) Install emblem.
