2004 Chevrolet Corvette, came in with a check engine light. Was on for a large evaporative emissions systems leak. Tested the fuel tank vent system and found a leak from the top of the right tank. Removed the tank and found it has a crack!

Removal of the tank requires pulling the transmission with the entire rear suspension, not a job for the faint of heart!

Is your vehicle ready for summer road trips? Keeping your car in top shape is essential for smooth and safe driving. Here are four signs your vehicle may need car repair. If your engine idles roughly or stumbles when stopped, it could be time for a tune-up. A drop in fuel economy might mean your engine is working harder than it should, leading to higher gas costs. Unusual noises like knocking, squealing, or other strange sounds can signal worn-out parts like belts or brakes. And if you notice fluid leaking when your car is parked, it could be coolant, oil, or even brake fluid, all pointing to issues that need attention. Regular maintenance helps prevent bigger problems down the road and keeps you moving confidently. Notice any of these signs? Visit our website or give us a call to schedule your service today.

If you have a need for restoration services on classics and antiques we can help! Here is a very rare carburetor for a 1936 Supercharged Cord! The choke doesn't work because the linkage is damaged, the choke pull-down (opens the choke while accelerating) was broken off of the choke plate, throttle shaft binding, fuel passages plugged up, leakes due to warped surfaces, bent linkages - this was pretty rough but replacements are unavailable!

Completely disassembled and cleaned it, straightened all bent parts, removed the choke pull-down attachment arm from the choke plate and welded it back together. This arm was riveted to the choke plate so installed new rivets. All the brass was scratched, every brass part
was polished. All the mating surfaces were made flat again on a belt sander. Also had to install a bronze bushing for the choke shaft due to excessive play and binding. Final assembly turned out great!

Keeping your vehicle in great shape means finding the right professional for car repairs. Start by checking online reviews from reliable sources to see what others are saying about local mechanics. Word of mouth is also powerful, so ask friends and family which shops they trust and which ones they avoid. Take a little time to research the shop’s background and training to make sure they have completed proper programs for the services you need. Visiting the shop in person can show you how they operate, including the cleanliness, atmosphere, and equipment they use on your vehicles. These simple steps can help you find a mechanic you can count on for the long haul. Ready to get started? Check us out online, visit our website or give us a call today.

Did you know the average car on the road is now over 11 years old? Later 80's, 90s, and 2000's vehicles are built to last, but keeping them running smoothly means paying attention to key warning signs. If you notice squealing from your engine, it could be a worn serpentine or alternator belt or a bad tensioner. Rhythmic thumping from your wheels might point to damaged tires, a failing ball joint, or a bad wheel bearing. Clicking noises when turning could mean your CV joint is lacking lubrication, and ignoring it could lead to bigger problems if car repairs are delayed. If any of these sounds are familiar, taking action quickly is important for your safety and peace of mind. For expert assistance and a thorough diagnosis, visit our website or call today.
