Hi all

On Sunday 26th July we held the 2026 AGM for Moore Park Speedway. Thank you to those that attended. There was some healthy discussions during general bussiness. Our thanks goes out to Marion Aldridge and Huriana Timothy for your time on the committee. Welcome and thank you to the returning members and to our new members that were elected at the AGM. The elected committee for 2026-2027 is

PHOTO COMPETITION TIME!
For a bit of off season fun we are holding a competition for a fan favorite speedway action photo. Nominate by posting the picture and name of the photographer in the comments below before the 21st August.
Most likes will take the win.
Winner will get their name on the Mel Smyth Memorial Trophy, and two free passes.

Please ensure all photos are either public use or you have permission to post.
Distasteful, irrelevant or controversial pictures will be removed, so please keep it clean, fun and in the spirit of motorcycle speedway racing.

Hi team, the club was sad to hear of the passing of Jeff Aldridge last weekend. He was well known around the Sth Island tracks campaigning his red Aprilia sidecar. Our condolences to family and friends.

Well done to 73c Taylor Green and Callum Innes for being nominated for NZ sidecar team of the year. Not your year this time. But. What you fellas and the team have done for Moore Park and New Zealand sidecars this season is extraordinary. You have both raced at the top level and showed you were not out of place. Thanks for representing us on the world stage. The team has done us proud.

Well done to Hudson Crowe for being nominated for Junior Competitor of the Year. There was some stiff competition for this award and with his hard work and dedication, I’m sure Hudson will be back next year for another crack. And geez he looked bloody cool on the night in his suit. Best dressed award for sure. Well done Hudson
