Hi all

We have our official SNZ practice on Sunday. Please enter on Racecontrol as per usual. All details are on there. This is not a training. It’s a race meeting. You will need a full licence or a day licence. Both can be purchased from SNZ. All bikes need to be Green sheeted. Sidecars and Flat Trackers ensure your MyLaps is working correctly and attached. FREE ENTRY TO SPECTATORS FOR THIS EVENT.

Good evening all. We have struggled to get the tracks ready for tomorrow’s working bee and practice. At this time we are hoping to have the junior track ready in time. The senior track is still a struggle. But we will try our best. Cheers Wayne.

MEL SMYTH MEMORIAL TROPHY – PHOTO COMPETITION WINNER

Congratulations to Dave Loudon, the winner of the
Mel Smyth Memorial Trophy Photo Competition!

Dave’s incredible photo captures so much of what we love about speedway, the action, the determination, the passion and the moments that make our sport so special.

This trophy is held in memory of Mel Smyth, who was a much-loved face around Moore Park and many other speedway tracks. Mel was known for her cheery smile, good chat and, of course, always having her camera ready.

Mel captured countless memories of our riders, families and supporters doing what we all love, and her contribution to our speedway community will never be forgotten.

The Mel Smyth Memorial Trophy is a special way for us to continue celebrating her passion for speedway and the wonderful memories she created along the way.

Congratulations Dave, and thank you to everyone who entered and shared their photos.

MOOREPARK SPEEDWAY WORKING BEE – LET’S GET READY FOR THE SEASON!
It’s time to pull together and get Moorepark Speedway’s pit area and surrounding grounds looking their best before the new season kicks off!
Sunday 20th September
10:00am – 12:00pm
We will be tackling the jobs around the pits and track — clean-up, mowing, painting, maintenance, and anything else that needs doing. Every set of hands makes a difference, so come along and help us get the place race ready!
AND THERE’S A BONUS!
Anyone who helps with the working bee will be able to take part in FREE PRACTICE afterwards!
RIDER REMINDER – GREEN SHEETING
All bikes must have their green sheeting completed BEFORE they are permitted onto the track.

Hi all

On Sunday 26th July we held the 2026 AGM for Moore Park Speedway. Thank you to those that attended. There was some healthy discussions during general bussiness. Our thanks goes out to Marion Aldridge and Huriana Timothy for your time on the committee. Welcome and thank you to the returning members and to our new members that were elected at the AGM.
