Yesterday I had the pleasure of working on a 2008 Renault Laguna 1.5Dci,
Customer Requested engine service and inspection of front brakes.
On closer inspection I found the engine cover mountings were loose and the cover was rubbing into the fuel line. I carried out a temporary repair to stop it rubbing.
While underneath the car I found the air conditioning pipe from the a/c compressor was also rubbing the lower coolant hose, which I tweaked the pipe to miss.
The front brakes needed some attention also the brake pads needed cleaning & copper grease as the pads were holding on slightly.
As the pictures show on the brakes they needed a good clean and copper greasing.

I treated the customers car to a complimentary wash 😎

Last week I had the pleasure of working on my wifes Audi Q7 🥰, The previous owner had side steps fitted which I didn't like. So i removed them in the process found the reason for my suspension losing air pressure.
The fitter who assembled the side steps used the incorrect bolts (too long) which rubbed through my air tank.
A massive thank you to All makes radiators in atherstone for the aluminium welding on my air tank 🙌.

But unfortunately there was a second fault due to the air leak the main compressor failed 🤣 .
I replaced the compressor and now drives like a dream 😎.

Today jobs , I was contacted a few days ago regarding a driver's door alignment issue. The customer explained that they were quoted a large amount of money to rectify this.
Upon inspection the hinges on the driver's door were in good condition although needed adjusting, I adjusted them within a few minutes and the fault was fixed.
Also today, I fitted a towbar & electrics to a Ford Focus for first time caravaners. They were quoted online but they then contacted myself. The towbar was made and supplied locally to Tamworth.

Today's job was a Vauxhall Corsa in the need of front brake pads & disks. The customer was describing a squealing noise coming from the front of their car when they were braking.
Upon inspection i found that the front brake pads were down to the audible brake wear indicator which required immediate replacement. The brake disks have gone past there minimum thickness also.
As a returning customer I treated the little Corsa to a snow foam wash for free of charge. One happy customer.

On Tuesday a customer called, she explained that her car has acquired a very loud metallic noise from the passenger side front. I visited the customers address to assess the problem. Upon inspection I discovered a broken coil spring. with collecting and fitting a new coil spring she was on the road again safely one happy customer.
