I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all staff for your continued hard work and commitment, particularly in these challenging hot conditions. Your professionalism and effort are greatly valued. Superstars all week. To the girls in the air con office. Coats off to you! It’s been a challenge to stop those teeth chattering at some points.

Another tester of a week in logistics but happy Friday all we got there. Thank you ☺️

It’s National Lorry Week! 🚛

We’re celebrating the vital role of the haulage industry and the people who keep our economy moving. With 85% of all freight in the UK transported by road, the sector is the backbone of our supply chains.

Here in Tamworth, we’re proud to have a thriving logistics and haulage sector, with businesses including H.D. Ricketts, Central Hub Logistics, Lloyds Transport and many others supporting jobs, growth and communities across our constituency.

Thank you to all the drivers, operators and workers who keep Britain moving.

Happy St George’s Day guys

In response to the urgent national shortage of HGV mechanics, the RHA Benevolent Fund, HGV Direct, and Draper Tools have stepped up in a big way—donating 20 professional toolkits to support new apprentices. When Diane heard about this initiative, she immediately put forward our apprentice, Freddie Smith—and look what happened!
Here he is, proudly showing off his brand-new toolbox and toolkit. Freddy was one of the lucky recipients, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
We’re incredibly grateful to , , and the for investing in the future of our industry. As the RHA has said, “Without skilled mechanics, the wheels of the UK’s supply chain simply stop turning.” That’s why it’s so vital we support young people like Freddie who are stepping up to keep Britain moving.
Freddy now has the tools—and the backing—to build a brilliant career.

🌟 Remembering VE Day: Honoring Our Heroes in Haulage and Logistics 🌟

Today, we commemorate Victory in Europe (VE) Day, a pivotal moment in history that marked the end of World War II in Europe. As we reflect on the sacrifices made by countless heroes, it’s essential to acknowledge the vital role that logistics and haulage played during the war and continue to play today.

Just as supply chains were crucial in delivering essential supplies to troops and supporting the war effort, our industry today ensures that goods flow smoothly, connecting businesses and communities. From transporting medical supplies to supporting local economies, the logistics sector remains the backbone of our society.

On this day, let us honor those who served and remember the lessons of collaboration, resilience, and commitment to service. Together, we can ensure that the spirit of unity and dedication lives on in our work, driving us to overcome challenges and strive for excellence in the haulage and logistics sector.
