❓ Have you got a friend or family member who receives a chorus of horns when using a roundabout?

👀 Make sure to share our post with them:

↔️Signals and position:

When taking the first exit to the left, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise:

👈 signal left and approach in the left-hand lane
👈 keep to the left on the roundabout and continue signalling left to leave

When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

👉 signal right and approach in the right-hand lane
👉 keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout
👈 signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.

When taking any intermediate exit, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

👆 select the appropriate lane on approach to the roundabout
👆 you should not normally need to signal on approach
👆 stay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundabout
👈 signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want

When there are more than three lanes at the entrance to a roundabout, use the most appropriate lane on approach and pay attention to road markings and signs.

📢 Remember that from tomorrow (31 March), you will only be able to make 2 changes to a car driving test booking.

A change counts as:
✅ changing the date or time
✅ changing the test centre
✅ swapping your appointment with another learner who has a test booked

If you need to make more changes after you have used your 2 changes, you will need to cancel your test and book a new one.

Have you had your eyes tested??

👀To legally drive in the UK, you must be able to read a number plate (with glasses or contacts if needed) from 20 meters

❓How far is 20 meters?

ℹ️Tyre pressure 🌡️

ℹ️Tyre pressure 🌡️

Did you know that the weather can affect the pressure of the air in your car’s tyres?🌡️

Changing temperatures can affect the pressure by up to 2psi.

Now the weather is getting warmer, it’s even more important to check their pressures so they’re correctly inflated.

Look in your vehicle handbook or inside the door pillar if you’re not sure what it should be.✅

And keeping the pressure correct will help your tyres last longer and give better mileage for your fuel.✅

ℹ️Wet Weather Driving:

⚠️Double the Distance:
Wet roads significantly increase braking distance, making it essential to at least double the normal 2 second rule to 4 seconds.

⚠️Visibility : Rain and spray reduce visibility-use air conditioning to clear fogged windows quickly.

⚠️Grip :Tyres have less grip on at wet road-plan ahead to avoid sudden harsh movements.
Check tyre treads are above the 1.6mm legal limit.
