SMUGGLERS ARRESTED !

Yesterday morning Echo-1 received intel regarding a shipment of drugs being smuggled into South Africa. a Team was assembled to intercept the load.
Late afternoon the vehicle was spotted near Mamelodi. a Takedown was executed and the vehicle safely stopped.

Bales of dagga seized (weight to be determined)
2 x foreign nationals arrested
1 x vehicle impounded

There has been a few tyre robberies in the Welbekend area lately. Early this morning one group was halted after they stole tyres from a business in Tiegerpoort.

SUCCESS ...
On Thursday afternoon, Echo-1 officers received a lookout for a vehicle involved in a kidnapping on the East Rand. Units close by responded and on arrival in Welbekend, immediately spotted 2 suspects trying to escape on foot when they saw the SAPS roadblock. They were quickly detained and handed over to SAPS.
The driver of the vehicle involved saw an opportunity and managed to elude the roadblock and fled.
Echo-1 determined his route and mobilised all the security resources in the Silver Lakes area. This quickly turned into a running gun battle through the Pretoria East suburb as the suspect engaged private security units chasing him.
His vehicle was disabled near Cowhouse and he was arrested.
This incident unfolded very quickly but it is testament to the rapid and professional actions taken by the private security clusters.
Nobody was hurt but security vehicles sustained gunshots.

The pick pocket gang resurfaced in Pretoria East in May, so they had to be stopped from stealing more vehicles ... Observation was done and Friday evening they were taken down in Boschkop.

FRIDAY MONTH-END... SUCCESS 1 !

On Tuesday, Echo-1 was informed about an armed robbery committed in the Cullinan sector. After reviewing the intel, the suspect vehicle was identified. Expecting the suspects to be busy on month-end, teams were dispatched to monitor certain routes.
Intel paid off and the vehicle was picked up coming from Mpumalanga. Echo-1 marked and unmarked teams and SAPS Middelburg Flying Squad took them down without incident.

BREAKTHROUGH !!

Referring back to our success on the 7th of April, the courts found it wise to release the driver of the Ford Ranger. Needless to say he was back to his criminal ways in no time ...
Echo-1 kept observation and on 12 May 2026 the Echo-1 Tracking Team intercepted the vehicle after a high speed chase near Delmas.
The occupants bailed out after crashing into an Echo-1 vehicle.
Stolen goods were found in the back so the team had to find the crime scene.
Following back roads, they discovered a farm near Waaikraal that was attacked by these 5 suspects. The victims were untied and medical help was mobilised.

TIME TO HUNT ...
1 week later, following up on information, the cell phones were traced to an informal settlement in Mpumalanga. Echo-1, Fidelity investigators, and Ekurhuleni Special Task Team descended on the area and managed to arrest 2 suspects.

While posting this message, we have received news that the one suspect was positively linked to a house robbery and murder committed in Delmas in December ... HOPEFULLY THIS NEWS CAN BRING SOME CLOSURE TO THE FAMILY MEMBERS 🙏

INCIDENT REPORT:
Wednesday night Echo-1 responded to a robbery and shooting at a client's premises. The worker was shot twice and the first responders quickly applied first aid and stabilized the victim.
The rest of the team searched for the suspects in the surrounding area. Not long after, we got a call of rocks being thrown on the highway very close to our position.
Luckily the victim managed to get away but sustained damage to his vehicle.
The response officers mobilised towards that position and launched the drone.
The drone operator saw 3 suspects running away from the highway where the incident took place. After a hectic foot pursuit the armed suspects decided to engage the Echo-1 officers.
1 suspect was shot and another arrested.

For a few months, now there have been constant burglaries in the Cullinan and Rayton area where quad bikes, motorbikes and solar systems have been targeted. It got real when one of our supporting crime fighting groups also lost a quad bike ....
Analysis were done to determine routes, trends and timelines....

Sunday morning Echo-1 Tactical and the local CRU crime prevention unit executed a takedown where a local farm was targeted for its solar system again ...
It was quickly established that these were the guys we were looking for .... lots of information was retrieved linking them to numerous cases in the area.
Now it is time for SAPS to show up and build a credible docket 💪
