Oil leaks may not seem like a pressing matter, however, if left unchecked for extended amounts of time it can wreak havoc on other components. This customer had us reseal a timing cover gasket that had been leaking for some time. Once we got in there we found that the oil had contaminated and disintegrated the timing tensioner.

Why are pre/post purchase inspections important? Here's an excellent but unfortunate example : We had a customer come in that had purchased a late model Honda from an online, drop at your door service a few months back and was starting to notice a few things so they asked us to look it over. From 10 feet away, it looked REALLY sharp and then we looked closer. The vehicle had obviously been "modified" and then put back to stock, had the front bumper replaced but pieces left off and 90% of the under shields damaged or missing, had an exhaust leak and last but not least, had the notorious 1.5T/2.0T head gasket leak. We had to, very unfortunately, present them with a $10,000 estimate to repair the vehicle correctly. If this had been caught during the "return" period, this customer could have sent the vehicle back, went a different route and not be facing the decisions that now need to be made.

We are here to talk to you about extended warranties. Do you really need one and what are the best options? Due to rising economic restrictions, parts are being made more cheaply to cut costs and vehicles are becoming lower quality, which means more repairs. In our opinion we do recommend considering getting an extended warranty. However, we do not suggest going through the dealer being the fact that in most cases it can only be used at the dealer. We've heard lots of stories of things/debris people have hit in the road but this was the first time we had ever head of someone hitting a turbocharger! This poor RDX took a significant amount of damage but it'll be back on the road in no time!

The power steering system is designed to multiply mechanical force, allowing you to turn the vehicle with minimal effort. Most modern vehicles use pressurized hydraulic fluid or an electric pump. Over time these systems are prone to leaks because they still use rubber hoses and seals that degrade from age and temperature changes. When leaks start to happen, if you do not repair it promptly it will cause other components to work harder and resulting in needing additional repairs.
