Long crank to start? Check your fuel pressure. If it bleeds off quickly after shutting off the vehicle you’ve got an issue. Could be stuck open injector, fuel system leak or a bad check valve in the fuel tank on the pump assembly.

Fuel injectors only work if the fuel rail has pressure as they operate like a gate that opens and closes. If there’s no pressure behind the gate then no fuel passes when the injector opens.

Fuel pressure must remain in the fuel rail at all times for proper operation.

🔋 Quick Maintenance Tip from Top Shelf Auto Repair

If you notice white, blue, or green buildup on your battery terminals, don't ignore it.

Battery corrosion can cause hard starting, charging problems, poor electrical connections, and may even shorten the life of your battery.

A simple cleaning with a battery terminal brush and a baking soda/water solution can help restore a strong connection. Applying a battery terminal protectant afterward can help prevent future corrosion.

We've been seeing quite a bit of battery corrosion lately, so it may be worth taking a quick look under the hood.
