September fools people. The mornings get nice, so nobody thinks about air conditioning.

Then you get one more 98 degree afternoon and the A/C blows warm on the way home.

Here is why it happens now. Your system has been running flat out since May. Whatever was marginal in June has had three more months of heat to finish the job.

A lot of repair fear comes down to one question. What if it breaks again?

Most of our repairs are covered by a nationwide two-year, 24,000-mile warranty. Most engine and transmission work is covered for three years or 100,000 miles.

Nationwide means it holds if you are three states away when something goes wrong, not only if you can get back to East 58th.

If something we fixed does not hold, we make it right. You should not have to gamble on your car.

Oklahoma in August finds every weak spot a car has.

Heat is what finally finishes off a battery that has been marginal since spring. It cooks old coolant. It turns a small hose leak into a real one. It is also why an AC system that was just okay in June picks this month to quit.

If your air is blowing warmer than it was, or the temperature gauge is sitting higher than it used to, let us look at it before it strands somebody.

Starting a shop in a new town means nobody has any reason to trust you yet. You cannot buy that and you cannot rush it. You just fix cars honestly and wait for people to notice.

You book online or text us. One customer had an appointment within two hours of finding us, which is normal, not a special case.

You drop the car. We inspect the whole thing, not just what you came in for. You get photos and an estimate on your phone.

You approve what you want done. Nothing happens before that.

Then we tell you which things needed doing immediately and which ones can wait, and we mean it when we say something can wait.

Brake jobs have a bad reputation for a reason. It is the easiest repair in the world to pad.

So we will be plain about it. What a brake job costs depends on what is actually worn, what your car takes, and whether the rotors can be reused or not. Anybody quoting you a flat number without looking at the car is guessing, and guesses tend to guess high.

We look, we photograph it, we tell you what is worn and what is not, and the number you approve is the number you pay.

If you have been putting off a brake noise because you are afraid of the bill, let us just tell you what it is.

Tires, brakes, coolant, and the belt. Those four are worth ten minutes before a long drive in Oklahoma heat, and they are also the four most likely to leave you sitting on a shoulder somewhere in another county.

The part we work hardest at is the part that costs nothing.

"Any time I call with a concern, they get me in to check the problem immediately, send me pictures if needed, and really walk me through everything."

Getting somebody in quickly when they are worried is not a technical skill. It is just deciding that a worried customer matters more than the schedule looking tidy.

Paying twice for the same repair is one of the worst feelings there is.

A customer came to us with a problem another shop had already charged him to fix about a year earlier. It had never really been right.

We fixed it. Quicker and cheaper than the first attempt, which we know because he told us so.

We are not going to name anybody or run anybody down. We will just say this. If a repair you paid for did not hold, that is worth a second opinion.
