Straight from KO Ineos Grenadier in Massachusetts, this brand-new red Grenadier just rolled into OK4WD for a Silenus Alu-Cab roof conversion—and we love what that says about the trust dealers put in our team.

That red body with the white Silenus top is a perfect match in spirit to our own OK4WD shop Grenadier that recently spent time out west in Idaho, and it’s built with the same goal in mind: turn a stock Grenadier into a real camper without overcomplicating the vehicle.
If you’ve been wondering what a “perfect stock vehicle camper” looks like, this is it—full interior headroom, a legit sleeping space up top, and all the practicality of a factory-fresh Grenadier underneath. Ready to drive off the lot and straight into camp.

Come see us at OK4WD and let’s talk about your Grenadier camper vision.

Still out here approaching day 6 with Mountain State Overland 🍂 for Hammer Down, but keep thinking back to camp along the river in Yellow Pine, ID a few days ago.

This Grenadier build made that stop effortless. GP Factor interior means everything has a place — no digging for the coffee or the first aid kit. ICECO fridge kept everything cold through the dust and heat, easily the MVP of the setup. And popping the Alu-Cab up next to the river, solar panel and all, took maybe 5 minutes.

Starlink’s been clutch too — answered emails from a rock by a hot spring that day. Proof this rig can be a remote office and a backcountry basecamp at the same time.

More from the trail soon.

Day 3 of Hammer Down, and this one had a little bit of everything.

We left camp in Copper Basin after a local told us the views up top were worth the hike. They were right. Trails led us up to a small alpine lake sitting almost 9,600 feet, and honestly the climb kicked our butts a little at that elevation. But then you crest the ridge and you’re staring at snow-covered peaks all around you, and it’s one of those “how did we get lucky enough to see this” moments.

Naturally, a few of us looked at that freezing lake and thought… yeah, we’re jumping in. Polar plunge, no regrets (okay, maybe a few for about 10 seconds).

After lunch at the trailhead, we pointed the trucks north toward Challis. The goal was to stay up in the mountains and camp somewhere along the way. The trail, as usual, had other plans. A few campsites looked good on paper but weren’t going to work for a group our size, then the rain rolled in and the terrain got gnarlier the further we went.

One thing I didn’t have to worry about though — fuel. The red Grenadier’s long-range tank had us covered the whole day, no stress there.

Three days in and this thing has genuinely been an awesome rig to live out of. Eventually we picked our way down a wet, steep descent, hit pavement, and found camp just south of Challis.

Once we got settled, I got dinner going for the crew on our laser-etched ok4wd Cook Partner stove. This thing is a premium two-burner, handmade right in Pocatello, Idaho, and you can tell — it’s built solid and just works, even after a day like today. Nothing like a hot meal cooked on quality gear after being wet and cold on the trail all day.

Another day in the books, and another reminder that the best days out here rarely go the way you planned them.

Hammer Down Trip Update. Knocked out 111 miles through Copper Basin, Idaho today! Hit the top and got a little snow up there — quite the contrast heading back down into rain at camp. Linked up our shadow awnings for some quick shelter and rode it out together.

Also — today’s the LAST DAY of our Alu-Cab awning sale, so don’t sleep on it!
