Remembering one of our California Adventures back in 2018 - so happy that so many of the folks that came with us in our first few years. So excited to be partnering with Neuro Recovery Institute - California - as the first clinical trial we are specifically funding - a huge thank you to our donors for helping us fill our ACCESS TO CARE grant fund providing us the ability to help others and participate in meaningful ways.

Drive Toward A Cure is funding three placements in our second Parkinson’s pilot.

This follows our first 24-session program, where a client more than 8 years post-diagnosis improved his balance by 56% and mobility by 45%.

In this photo, DTAC board member Derek Torry — who is also a client in the second pilot — is presenting the check that makes these placements possible.

As we enter Q3, we’re taking a moment to reflect on some of the good memories that continue to fuel our mission—and one of the true highlights of 2026 was being named the beneficiary of Neil Forever - “Love at the Greek”, a one-night-only celebration at the iconic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. We’re incredibly grateful to partners like David Jacobson, and to everyone who has helped make our Bring a Trailer auctions such a success. To date, seven auctions have generated more than $100,000 to support those living with Parkinson’s — https://www.drivetowardacure.org/bring-a-trailer/ - proof of what can happen when the automotive and Parkinson’s communities come together with purpose.

And we’re not stopping. The rest of the year will bring more drives, more auctions, more partnerships and, most importantly, more opportunities to help people living with wherever and whenever we can. There’s still plenty of road ahead—and we’re keeping our foot on the gas. Stick with Drive Toward A Cure - our journey has just begun!

Even former Los Angeles Lakers Lamar Odom came out to support the Pacific Palisades Motor Classic and the communities of Pacific Palisades, CA and Malibu - DRIVE TOWARD A CURE was there to align with the Lowe Family YMCA and raise funds to provide grant funding for local patients to partake in wellness programs in the soon-to-be rebuilt local YMCA. So pleased to see the enthusiasm our partner Music Mends Minds, Inc. brings to the community - today they hosted the Santa Monica firefighters and paramedics who enjoyed singing and dancing with seniors - a perfect event during “Brain Awareness Month” and a wonderfully uplifting example of how ‘music becomes medicine for the mind’

Did you know that music therapy is actually backed by science and for both of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s patients especially music is the one mental capacity not lost when neurodegenerative illnesses may be destroying memories, intellect and sense of self.

At DRIVE TOWARD A CURE we believe in as a constant driver in slowing the progression of the disease - so let’s make music together!
