A tiny baby kangaroo was found all alone—no family in sight. It was later discovered that she was an orphan, having lost both her mother and father. The loss was heartbreaking. Alone in the wild, she had no warmth, no protection, no familiar heartbeat to lean on.

But then came love.

Wildlife carers stepped in to provide the safety and affection she desperately needed. They offered her not just care, but comfort—in the form of a teddy bear.

She clung to it tightly, wrapping her little arms around it like it was her mother. That teddy became her refuge, her source of comfort, a reminder that she wasn’t entirely alone.

This sweet and tender image of a baby kangaroo hugging her teddy is more than just cute—it’s a powerful reminder that every creature needs love, protection, and something to hold on to.

I have to admit that maybe the third time is for real! Retirement has been very difficult for me the first two times, but I must admit that I'm ready to really enjoy it this time...especially with Dixie Vann! Slow mornings and busy nights have been great! Knowing that I'm done taking on new clients has been a great relief for this 70 year old! Thanks to all of my family, friends and clients for your support over the last 20 years, it's more appreciated than I could ever let you know! I have one last client that I made a commitment too awhile back and need to finish and then I will be done!

It is official!
I am retiring (at 70+ y.o.) and really want to enjoy what time is left to this beat up ole body of mine! I'm stepping out to smell the roses, as they say!
I said goodbye to my wonderful friends at the Chandler Business Alliance this morning and brother will they be missed! The picture is one of the three Amigos, my BFF's who have blessed me with thier friendship for those 20 years, Brad Ness and Carol Polcyn...with whom I would have had a much harder time surviving without them in my life!
I am looking to sell my 20+ year old business, Everybody's Auto Consignments and my book of business is huge! If you know someone who is an independent person who has wanted to be a business owner and not start from the ground floor, please have them contact me.

We will be handing out the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Application For Benefits today that will need to be submitted in order to utilize the program. They will need to be handed back in by the or at the next distribution on the 24th of February or any time there after in order to utilize the free food program. I want to reach out and Thank everyone that donated food and personal care items to our program Sun Lakes Mobile Food Bank "Where Neighbors Help Neighbors"! Because of your good hearts and caring for those that live as our Neighbors, we were able to help 75 households just this last distribution and put our January numbers at helping 118 households in Sun Lakes! We appreciate you more than we can express and ask if you can join us in helping our Neighbors as it's continually needed...it would be so very much appreciated.

You can help those around you who unfortunately are currently suffering from food insecurities by donating at one of our Donation Boxes located at:
- Sun Lakes Country Club Clubhouse (in the lobby)
- Mulligan's Bar and Lounge (under the tv by the front of the bar)
- Robson Community Professional Office Building (in the hallway)
- Field of Dreams Ball Field (during the day only)

Please come out to our free food distributions on the 2nd and 4th Monday's of the month at the Sun Lakes Country Club Clubhouse in the Navajo Room from 1 to 3pm and get the groceries you need to survive and so you can get the prescriptions you need or pay for your utilities so you can worry less. If you are home bound for physical or mental disabilities, please go to our website and request home delivery and our wonderful volunteers will bring the groceries to you, go to www.sustainandserve.org

There is going to be an application process starting very soon that you'll need to complete to qualify, and we will have that out fairly shortly to meet our requirements as a non-profit organization.
