Who is ready for a double the money? Double the excitement? Along with that September timeframe you all love! IHRA is bringing a one of a kind weekend!

One of the biggest weekends in drag racing is coming!

FAIRFIELD, OH. The International Hot Rod Association announced today that the 2026 IHRA Triple Crown Finale originally scheduled for Darana Memphis Motorsports Park has been moved to historic Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park, creating the historic Triple Crown x2 doubleheader weekend at one of drag racing’s premier facilities.
As much as the IHRA wanted to return to Darana Memphis Motorsports Park this season, scheduling constraints and the limited number of available weekends made it impossible to accommodate all Triple Crown events on the 2026 calendar.
The result is a once in a lifetime opportunity for race fans and competitors alike.
Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park will now host Triple Crown x2 during an action-packed four-day weekend, Sept. 10-13, featuring two IHRA Triple Crown events and some of the highest payouts in drag racing history.
The IHRA Triple Crown series will begin June 19-20 at Darana Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, before concluding with the historic Triple Crown x2 weekend at Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park in September.
The first IHRA Triple Crown event at Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park will feature qualifying on Thursday, Sept. 10, with eliminations on Friday, Sept. 11. The second Triple Crown race will include qualifying on Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by eliminations on Sunday, Sept. 13.
Fans will experience the thunder and excitement of 12,000 horsepower Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars blasting down the 1,000 foot racing surface at speeds exceeding 340 mph while chasing some of the highest payouts in drag racing history.
The million dollar IHRA Triple Crown bonus will be up for grabs for competitors in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod, Mountain Motor Pro Stock and IHRA Pro Stock. Any driver capable of sweeping the entire IHRA Triple Crown series, including the June 19-20 opener at Darana Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, and both Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park events, will earn a staggering $1 million bonus, creating one of the biggest paydays in drag racing history.
Also competing for huge payouts and bragging rights during the historic weekend will be Top Fuel Motorcycle, Nitro Harley, Fuel Altered, Outlaw Pro Mod, Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car competitors.
Single-day tickets are $40, with fans receiving a $10 discount when purchasing tickets online through IHRA.com. Weekend passes for the entire four-day doubleheader are available for $100.
Fans are encouraged to secure tickets early and witness the sport’s top stars chase record-setting speeds, massive payouts and a potential million dollar payday.

For the two weeks leading into the IHRA Triple Crown, Maple Grove Raceway unexpectedly went dark. While it may have seemed quiet from the outside, an incredible amount of work was happening behind the scenes to prepare the facility for the future.

Today, we are proud to unveil the updates, upgrades, and improvements made across the property.

• We started by milling and repaving the area around the scales. This creates a much smoother transition for door cars and allows dragsters to access the scales without dragging. The scales have also been fully calibrated by Atlantic Scale.

• Every building on the property received a fresh new look featuring green, white, black, and gray paint throughout the facility.

• Facility-wide WiFi has now been installed, providing coverage across the entire property.

• For improved staff safety and a better view of the starting line, the center walls have been moved back, brought inward, and fully straightened.

• The largest project of all was a complete mill and grind of the entire concrete racing surface. This was necessary to eliminate bumps and dips and provide a smoother, more consistent racing surface moving forward.

• During this time, the facility signage was also updated to reflect our future as an IHRA member track.

And finally, we are excited to officially unveil the new name that will carry this historic facility into the future:

If you missed the original post we had to postpone this weekends Triple Crown event. We can't wait to share with you the new date. We will let you all guess the new date. IHRA Postpones Triple Crown Event at Maple Grove Raceway Due to Weather Forecast

MOHNTON, Pa. — International Hot Rod Association officials announced today that the IHRA Triple Crown event scheduled for May 22-24 at Maple Grove Raceway has been postponed due to a weather forecast dominated by rain throughout the weekend.
After reviewing the latest forecast and evaluating the potential impact on racers, fans, teams, track personnel, and event operations, IHRA officials made the proactive decision to postpone the event rather than risk an interrupted or incomplete race weekend.

The Maple Grove Raceway event was set to open the three-race IHRA Triple Crown schedule, a new premier program featuring Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, and Mountain Motor Pro Stock. Those five professional categories will each have a $1 million bonus on the line for any driver who can sweep all three Triple Crown events.

In addition to the five featured classes, the weekend lineup included a number of sportsman and specialty categories, along with a full slate of off-track entertainment. Scheduled festivities included a pit party, a concert featuring Jake Owen and Dwight Yoakam, and "Bulls & Burnouts" featuring bullriding, bull games, and freestyle bull fighting.

“While this is never the decision we want to make, we believe it is the right one for our racers, fans, partners, and everyone involved in producing this event,” IHRA officials said. “The forecast gives us little confidence that we could deliver the full Triple Crown experience that racers and fans deserve. Rather than ask everyone to travel and invest in a weekend facing significant weather challenges, we felt it was best to make this decision proactively.”

IHRA officials are currently working with Maple Grove Raceway and event partners to secure a new date for the Triple Crown event. Additional details regarding the rescheduled event, ticketing, racer entries, and weekend activities will be announced as they become available.

“We appreciate the patience and support of our racers, fans, sponsors, vendors, and the Maple Grove Raceway team,” IHRA officials added. “The excitement surrounding the Triple Crown has been tremendous, and our goal remains to deliver the kind of high-level, full-scale event this program was built to showcase. Even though we have a full schedule of activities planned, we are working on rescheduling this race into our schedule so that this date merges into a smooth program."
