Porsche Finishes 2026 IMSA Season with Emotional Petit Le Mans GTP Victory and Podium Finishes in both GT Categories.

Penske Porsche claimed overall victory at Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta in 2026 while the customer team of JDC-Miller MotorSports secured a shocking victory at Laguna Seca, making 4 total wins for the prolific 963. Unfortunately, Porsche came up short in the GTP, GTD-Pro and GTD championships this past season.But ending the season with a hard-fought and win in the GTP class leave the team and drivers parting ways on an emotional high. Kévin Estre of France, Laurens Vanthoor of Belgium, and Matt Campbell of Australia crossed the finish line in the #6 963, 1.2 seconds ahead of the BMW M Team.

Meanwhile, Team AO Racing place second in the uber competitive GTD-Pro class in a 911 GT3 R, while Manthey 1St Phorm claimed a second step on the podium in their 911 GT3 R. Congratulations to Porsche on being the first manufacturer to achieve overall wins at the Big 3 Endurance Classic in a single season. Looking forward to Daytona in 2027!

The Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG factory team won the season finale of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the Porsche 963. Factory drivers Kévin Estre of France, Laurens Vanthoor of Belgium, and Matt Campbell of Australia took the win in the 10-hour “Petit Le Mans” race.

The 996 Carrera just might be the best bang for the buck Porsche on the market. The timeless 911 shape combined with the prolific naturally aspirated flat 6 make it one of the most iconic sports cars in the world.

The 996’s from this era (1999-2004) benefit substantially from some basic bolt-on mods, especially the IPD Plenums. We offer 3 different versions… Our Cable Plenum for the early (1998 ROW / 1999 US) Carrera 2’s that utilize the OE 74mm Cable throttle body. Our 996 Standard Plenum that fits the factory 74mm E-Gas TB and our Carrera Comp Plenum that requires upgrading to the larger 82mm GT3 TB.
