🏁 DID YOU KNOW?

Chevrolet built 6,502 Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Editions for 1978, but one particular combination was considerably harder to find.

According to internal assembly data originally published by Vette Vues Magazine in December 1978, just 626 Pace Cars were equipped with both the high-performance L82 V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission.

πŸ’¬ Question: If you were buying a ’78 Pace Car, would you hold out for the L82 with a 4-speed, or would the engine and transmission combination not matter to you?

πŸ’¬ Question: Which would you rather have in your garageβ€”Medium Purple Pearl Metallic or Pace Car Purple? πŸ’œπŸ

🏁 DID YOU KNOW?

No production 1963 Chevrolet Corvettes were ever shipped from the factory or delivered to customers with knock-off wheels. All production 1963 models left the factory with standard steel rims and hubcaps.

Due to some manufacturing issues and patent disputes, knock-off wheels were later available for purchase over the counter at Chevrolet dealerships.

πŸ’¬ Question: Do you prefer the look of knock-off wheels over the standard steel rims?

The 1969 Corvette received wider Rally wheels than the previous year.

For 1968, the Corvette came with 15Γ—7-inch Rally wheels. In 1969, Chevrolet increased the width to 15Γ—8 inches, giving the Corvette a wider footprint and a more aggressive stance.

πŸ’¬ Question: When it comes to classic Corvettes, do you prefer the original Rally wheels or a set of period-correct aftermarket wheels?
