More scope waveforms for the geeks out there šŸ§
Today we had a Ford Ranger in limp home mode due to two faults and one was indicating 3 faulty glow plugs.

To remove and bench test 5 glow plugs would cost the customer several hoursā€™ labourā€¦ā€¦ā€¦..Letā€™s scope emā‰ļø

Wave forms are of a good glow plug and the bad ones.

The first photo shows the bad one. Blue signal showing NO CURRENT FLOW but has good voltage (yellow) signal.

Good injector has good Current Flow (blue) and good voltage (yellow)

We have the equipment and training to check what others canā€™t. āœ…
An oscilloscope waveform shows us how electrical current is flowing. This enables us to repair the customers issue first time guaranteedšŸ†

The alternator scope pattern on the left is the faulty alternator.

Itā€™s very nice to be able to guarantee a fix for our client and have the data to prove an electronic part is faulty before it gets replaced.
