New shape 2026 Toyota Hilux required replacement of the Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) radar ECU following collision repairs.

Our process included:

✅ Pre-repair system health check and diagnostic scan

✅ Installation and ECU firmware programming/initialisation of the new Blind Spot Monitor radar module

✅ DTC diagnosis and fault rectification

✅ Blind Spot Monitor Beam Axis Adjustment (Static Calibration) using OEM-specified ADAS targets and procedures

✅ X2 Parking Assist Sensor ID Registration following component replacement

✅ Parking Assist Sensor Calibration/Learning to ensure correct ultrasonic sensor operation and obstacle detection

✅ Post-repair complete system verification road test and full ADAS health scan

Modern Toyota safety systems rely on precise sensor alignment and correct ECU configuration. Simply replacing a radar module or parking sensor is not enough—without ECU registration, sensor learning and calibration, systems such as:

Another successful Audi Q7 front radar adjustment and static calibration completed by Newport ADAS Calibrations.

The front radar is one of the most important safety components in the Audi Q7’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It constantly monitors the road ahead and provides critical information to systems including:

❌ SBS Malfunction
❌ Reverse Brake Assist Not Available
❌ Audi Side Assist Fault
❌ Active Brake Assist Functions Limited
❌ Lane Keep Assist Warnings
❌ Blind Spot Monitoring Faults
❌ Front Radar Misalignment
❌ Windscreen Camera Calibration Errors

Many of these warnings appear after:

Collision repairs
Sensor or radar replacement
Bracket misalignment
Removing and reinstalling a radar
Module replacement or programming
Windscreen replacement
Battery disconnection
