Another podium finish for Miles McElwain and co-driver, Mike Bunyard. They've had a good crack at the International Rally of Whangarei in the Open 2WD Class whilst competing with other cars that had much more power, pace notes and pre-event race reconnaisance. A true purist, Miles still insists on the basics to achieve his goals - maximum fun! The Whangarei International Rally included overseas teams, national rally championship teams and clubman's. The 2 day event was held in the Dargaville area consisting of over 200 kms of racing on closed gravel public roads.
Over the years, you may have seen Piglet at Budget. He was once stored in what is now our customer lounge. Piglet is a much loved member of the family :) A Toyota Corolla AE86, Piglet has had new Budget Tyres livery and is still going strong!! Congratulations team - another stunning effort!

Have a listen - we've had a little fun and created a new Budget Tyres song for your playlist. Enjoy!!
The new WOF system rolls out 1st November. Unfortunately, you're not going to be able to rely on your WOF to manage your tyre safety for you. But good news - we're here to help!
Daylight Savings begins this weekend and it's a great time to stop in for your FREE tyre check.

Do you think we should play our new song on the radio?

DON'T BE FOOLED... 🛑Here’s an interesting phone call we had this morning:
Customer: "Can I please have a quote for tyre size 185/65R15?"
Us: "Of course, I can help you with that! We have Gepormax in that size for $119; our mid-range option Farroads at $135; and Hankooks at $155.
"Customer: "Whooa!! I've just been quoted more than $300 for one!"
Us: "That's a bit over the top... do you mind telling me where that was from?"
Customer: "Yeah, it was Tony’s Tyres. Then she said to me, 'we can do a deal with 2 tyres for about $500'.

FYI — we hear this all the time. 🤦‍♂️Don't get ripped off and don't be fooled! Always give us a call for a fair quote before you commit your hard-earned cash.
Best of all, our prices are completely transparent.
Every single quote includes:
✅ Professional fitting✅ Wheel balancing✅ GST included
✅ Government Tyrewise levy
Support local, get honest advice, and save your money! 🎯

Shouting it from the ceiling! We’re absolutely chuffed! 🤩✨
Check out this wonderful review from one of our long-term customers:

"For years and years we've been going to these guys (and girls! Had a nice and very able young lady fix our puncture today.) In all those years we've never had any service that wasn't 100%. Great management! And a great team. Five stars for both, five stars also for accurate and fast AND very fair priced service...

"Feedback like this truly makes our day! Knowing that our awesome team continues to deliver fast, fair, and top-tier service year after year is what we strive for every single day. 🔧🛞
A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing customers for your ongoing support and trust in us. We couldn't do it without you!
