Workshop Wednesday!

Simon is still on the rebuild of the 262 - headlights and dash and ancillaries all in and running up to temperature as well as remaking door looms to ensure everything going back is in tip top condition

Paul and Kallum have finalised block sanding the spray filler on the next restoration and moved onto seam sealing the underside and interior. Every single joint carefully sealed by hand to ensure a neat yet effective seal. First stage of paint following next

Myself has got the GTR all painted and flat and polished ready to sit for a bit before heading out for PPF

We also got a chance to get the P1800 outside for some photos now that metal work has finished. Few trims marked for modification to ensure a flowing finish to match the body. Now to strip down and prepare for epoxy

Workshop Wednesday!

Myself and Paul have been finalising the levelling work to our next big restoration and getting it masked ready for spray filler. Paul has also got the GTR repaired and prepped ready for a date with the spray booth.

Simon has got the wiring in the 262 and working through the long tangle of previous shoddy wiring repairs and ensuring each component refitted is tested and restored prior to fitting

Kallum is currently on holiday the ba*tard - however he finalised all the panel gapping to the P1800 while I fettle the front end to fit. Then we move onto chrome test fits and levelling. Guys have made a fabulous job of this shell considering the state it was in

Workshop Wednesday!

Myself and Kallum have been busy with the spot welder and Tig welder fitting up the exterior panels to the P1800 restoration. Even with new panels available they require a soft (hard at times) fettling to fit correctly. Factory spec spot welds always help complete a concours restoration.

Simon is pushing through on the rebuild on the 262 with all brake and fuel lines fitted. The wheels are back from refurb and bumpers overhauled and on - first time the car has been on its wheels in a year so always a lovely sight

Paul and my dad have been busy removing the PPF and prepping the GTR for a full repaint - we don’t tend to get involved with modern vehicles but I do have a soft spot for these - especially ones we have looked after prior

Workshop Wednesday!

Myself and Paul have begun the body contouring stage on one of our restorations. When as close to perfection is the goal there is no other way. Ensuring all panels are dead flat, panel lines enhanced and gaps perfected

Simon is moving through the 262 rebuild with finalising brakes and getting the exhaust on. Fresh wheel bearings throughout - wiring up next, I feel lots of swearing incoming at this stage

Kallum has got the front wings gapped and fitted on the P1800. Front nose piece test fitted to see how much modification required to fit (lots as usual) and starting on getting the rear end pinned on.

Workshop Wednesday!

Paul and Kallum have finished up the majority of the internal metal work repairs to the P1800 and got them into epoxy primer. Now back on its frame Kallum is finalising the front crossmember repairs prior to test fitting all the exterior panels

Simon is getting all greasy with the build up on the 262. Nearly ready to go back on its wheels (once refurbed) and then to run the wiring in. This will certainly be one of, if not, the best example of one of these models in the world

Panel gapping has been finalised on the other restoration, meaning the panels have been removed and prepped for epoxy primer. Next to refit and begin the body levelling stage

Kallum and Paul now finalising the majority of the inner panel repairs to the P1800. We have had first test fits of exterior panels - not long until we can move onto panel alignment and gapping

Simon has got another booth session of bits into satin black for the 262 as well as reuniting the heart of the car back in - this being a rather unique build, is the client crazy for going this far with this model… who knows!

Myself and Dad have been working on the key stage of alignment and panel gapping on the next restoration - ensuring perfect gaps in metal work

Workshop Wednesday!

Simon is trying to figure where all the parts for the 262 go after doing a wonderful job of building up the engine and gearbox. All freshly zinc’d or painted hardware going in prior to the dash and wiring

Kallum and Paul are making wonderful progress on the P1800 restoration - this shell being one of the worse we have been presented with. Nearly ready for exterior panel test fits

Myself and my dad have been working on some of the metal work repairs to our next restoration (which we aren’t sharing on socials) that has just come back from the blasters and been put into epoxy primer

Lovely Lancia Fulvia leaving us after some pre sale work which escalated to a fair amount of metal work - lower of wings and quarter panels inner and outer all fabricated in house and then into paint
Stunning work by Simon and Kallum

Workshop Wednesday!

Early P1800 ready to depart after new door skins, sunroof delete, few rust repairs and a repaint. Now off to for some maintenance and new interior

Volvo 262 gets its new vinyl roof by the lovely while Simon finishes off the engine build which is looking delightful

Paul and Kallum are back on the metal work repairs to the other P1800 restoration

Our next big restoration is currently with the blasters awaiting its return!
