A first time visit from Yorkshires finest motor car. The Jowett owners club. Jowett starting building cars as early as 1906. Becoming a popular marque before the 2nd world war. Post war the Javelin and Jupiter were sold in reasonable numbers.

Some rare machines at the Sunbeam MCC test and museum day. AJS, rare early 1926 HRD with race history, Francis Barnet, 3x New Imperial, sunbeam, BSA special, Henley Blackburne , Velocette, 1908 Triumph, lovely T Ford truck with 1870 velocepede on board!

Here is a picture of myself standing by K3 at the BlueBird festival at Coniston in May all kitted out and ready for action. This photo by Neil Draper was part of an article about the festival that appeared in Motor Boat and Yacthing magazine last month. K3 was quoted as making several runs. Twelve to be exact.

I was out today on the 1904 chain drive Mercedes racing car and paid a visit to our local Festival of Transport at Hellingly. This event is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is well organised by the Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Cub. There really is something for everyone with Veteran, Vintage, Post Vintage, Classic cars, Modern Classic Cars on show. Buses, Steam Traction Engines, Military Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Tractors and more! Well worth a visit next year if you have not been before. Always over the August Bank Holiday. Here is a photo of the Mercedes, with my favourite other car at the show a lovely Edwardian Wolseley.

FILCHING MANOR LONG MAN RUN 17th OCTOBER 2026. A Sunbeam MCC event open to all pre war motorcycles. Lovely ride through East Sussex back roads approximately 34 miles taking in the famous chalk giant on route. Museum open, refreshments and toilets on site.
