Good Morning Everyone 🌧️

Something we see quite often is badly installed diesel heaters, this is a prime example of how dangerous some these installs can be.

Happy Monday Everyone! 🌞

Last week we revisited a job that we initially installed back in 2024.

🌞 We added another 18 solar panels adding around another 8kW of solar. Totalling around 24kW of solar panels.

🔋 We also added an additional 4x 100ah BSL 48V rack-mount batteries doubling the total capacity to 40.8kWh of storage.

✅ To make it happen we had to add a second Victron Energy Smartsolar 450/200 MPPT

📋 The customer supplied the solar panels and everything else including the solar mounting equipment was supplied by our great friends at Energy Monkey Ltd.

⚡ The site uses around 35kWh a day, a lot of which is at night 🌙. The original system with only 20kWh in storage was struggling and the system was still pulling approximately 15kWh of grid power at night to maintain itself.

😁 Over the weekend with the new setup active it has generated over 80kWh of solar power and with the doubled battery capacity it has meant they haven't used any grid power at all since Friday.

We have spent a couple of days on this Globecar motorhome this week giving it a huge upgrade to give the owner the ability to remain off-grid for extended periods. We installed:

✅ IP22 12/20 mains charger

📋 We upgraded the cabling, bypassed the Schaudt unit for split charge and mains charging, added in an Ablemail AMT 12-2 Pro for trickle charging the start battery.

Happy Bank Holiday Weekend Everyone!

This week we have been working on something a little bit different for Stephen Handrick Snap-On Tools Authorised Franchisee

🔋 Replacing the old worn out AGM batteries for 2x Roamer 24V 230ah LifePo4 giving a huge 460ah at 24V!

❄️ Installing a Dometic FJZ7 2600W rooftop AC unit in place of an old roof vent.

📋 Installing a Victron BMV712 and Orion XS 1400 Energy Monkey Ltd

With the improved efficiency of the new Domestic FJZ7 and with the 460ah of capacity the system would be able to run for a full day keeping the back of the lorry either cold 🥶 or even hot 🥵 for the winter months.

🌞 Good Morning Everyone!

😔 Sorry we haven't posted for a while, we have been extremely busy and not had time to think about making content.

🚐 We have just finished this Adria Twin Supreme 2025 with a lithium upgrade.

🛠️ We have removed the two AGM batteries, WA Booster, NDS solar charger and bypassed the internal mains charger, tidied up the existing Adria wiring as it is always a complete mess!

This week we had this Hymer motorhome in for some upgrades...

This customer got in contact when their NDS lithium system they had installed a few years prior, started to fail and not work properly. The original installer wasn't interested in repairing it but we happily obliged...

We removed the NDS 3Link unit and both Votronic solar chargers. Tidied up the wiring, relocated the batteries for maximum space and efficiency saving. We installed two new Victron Energy MPPTs, Orion XS, Smartshunt, Lynx Power In.
