191 part-worn tyres. Seven businesses. What we found should concern every driver.

As part of TyreSafe's joint enforcement activity with Trading Standards, police teams and local authorities, an inspection in Norfolk found that 36% of 191 part-worn tyres inspected were in a dangerous condition, including exposed cords, structural damage and poor repairs.

Only one tyre met full legal safety and marking requirements. Unsafe tyres were immediately removed from sale, with enforcement action taken against non-compliant traders.

These aren't hypothetical risks. They are issues being uncovered through enforcement activity in the part-worn tyre market.
