This Audi Q5 arrived on a trailer after sitting for months with a non-start fault.
The customer had been led to believe it was an immobiliser issue, so a brand-new key had been coded to the vehicle — but it still wouldn’t start.
After explaining the work that had previously been carried out, one detail immediately stood out… the problems had started after an AdBlue solution was carried out elsewhere.
We rolled it straight off the trailer and got the diagnostics on it. A few fault codes initially pointed us in the wrong direction, but rather than chasing symptoms, we put the vehicle back to stock and looked at what was actually happening.
With 30MILES remaining until the non-start, the real issue was staring us in the face — this Q5 needed the AdBlue system solution carrying out correctly.
Job done, faults sorted and the countdown gone.
The Q5 is now driving away faultless and starting every time. 🔧
Sometimes you just have to strip everything back and find the actual problem. 👊
