Here we go again…….

Here we have a 2012 Vw Caddy fitted with a 2.0 common rail engine (code CFH). 6 speed manual and the customer has converted to a 6 speed DSG gearbox.

Im here to wire and code it all in. The ecu will need flashing with a genuine Vw ecu file, one thats suitable for DSG as it cannot be coded on this particular file. Luckily I can perform this on site.

On inspection the van appears to have had a previous wiring issue, so I will need to assess and repair that correctly too.

Anyway, i’m in Scunthorpe fixing another Caddy conversion. This was a 1.9 BLS engine originally that the owner converted himself to a 2.0 BKD. Then a lad came and converted it to a DSG gearbox. Now its my turn to try find any issues and put it right, along with wire it up as a 3.2 with DSG.

Hey folks.

Out of all my followers, some people know me personally, but the majority have never met me…….

Overboost, along with my own social media presence has always been slightly ’under the radar’ and I’ve never really pushed that side of things.

Now, I think there’s some interesting content I could deliver to give followers a more in depth insight into the work I do, for instance, travelling around doing wiring and diagnostic work, maybe film some actual diagnostic sessions, small videos showing tips and tricks, sharing customer projects, along with documentating my own many projects. ( 2 BMW E30’s, Corrado VR6 Turbo, Mk2 R32 Jetta, Mk6 Jetta 5 cylinder build, and of course my mid engined Mk1 Clio VR6 turbo which is currently in storage, but needs an engine rebuild). All of my own projects are at varying levels of build progress, and I truthfully have ‘too many plates spinning’, but, I am where I am. Steadily chipping away at them all, will gradually get stuff done. Let’s see if I can bore folk to bits, sharing a snippet of my hectic life. 😂😂

So, to begin with, I have started a Tiktok, as this seems to be a very popular platform currently. Maybe in time a YouTube channel. I will see how things go, as im sure this sort of thing soon eats into your spare time.

Anyway, hopefully you guys will check it out, give me a follow, and maybe I can get some feedback on people’s thoughts.

A stop in Runcorn last week to swap and code a steering module, to suit a multi function steering wheel on a 2013 Vw Caddy.

All sorted and fully working.
