It’s a good job i’m not frightened off by ‘experts’ previously ‘having a go’. This van has seen better days unfortunately, before these ‘heroes’ had a go.

Mk3 Vw Caddy that had an AGU cable throttle engine fitted on an ‘expertly’ made plug and butcher loom. Its never been right from day one. Fuel pump butchered, leaves found inside tank also. 👀

Moving forward to today, ive been called in to make something better of it.

So already the customer has now fitted an AUM engine, and we are now using a Bosch ME7 ecu, which will communicate ok with this Caddy platform.

Lots to do, i better crack on 😎

Hopped over to Newark now for another customer swapped 2.0 cr engine swapped Caddy. Again, no communication, no start. Several different faults on this one it seems. Some rewiring required, some canny skill and a bit of tidying up. Watch this space.

Love these type of jobs…… the ones that others get stuck with. Just over in Hull this morning on a fault finding job on a customer converted engine conversion. ( i’m sure he’ll tidy his wiring up once i’ve fixed his fault ) No ecu comms and no start. Also ABS coding to generate and then calibrate due to incorrect cluster being plugged in. Should have it sorted in another hour or so. 😎

This Mk6 Golf GTD had been to several garages to fix an issue with a fault for the turbocharger actuator position sensor. On testing the position sensor worked perfectly along with the turbo also. Further investigation turned up a vacuum leak elsewhere in the system. Fault found, isolated and fixed.

Out with the old, in with the new. 2.8 24v to R32 engine, along with a bit of a spruce up. This Jetta will be up for sale once finished. Very tidy and honest clean 1990 8 valve GTI.
