What an experience racing at Pertamina Mandalika Street Circuit! 🇮🇩

It was my first time riding here, and I absolutely loved it. It’s such a cool track, and the grip was unreal.

It took a little while to get up to speed, especially through some of the more technical sections, but we kept making setup changes throughout the weekend, and I got quicker every session, slowly closing the gap to the front.

Race 2 was shaping up really well, and I was in a position to fight with the front pack and feeling really confident, but unfortunately, a crash brought my weekend to an early end and another DNF. I’m pretty gutted because I really felt like we had the pace to be right up there, but that's racing sometimes.

The results might not show it on paper, but I learned so much over the weekend, and it was an awesome experience racing in Indonesia with all the support from the local fans.

There were plenty of positives to take away from this round, and I'm looking forward to putting them into practice at the next round.

With the ASBK season done and dusted, I headed out the The Bend recently for a bit of fun, swapping the R6 for an R1 at Round 2 of the SA Road Race Championship.
👊🔥

Whilst I'm not actively competing in the state championship this year as I'm focussing on bigger goals, it was great to share a weekend on the track with my family and support the series at the same time.

Qualifying didn't quite go to plan for me after a crash early in the session left me without a lap time, putting me P9 in class and P16 on the combined Superbike and Supersport grid.

I fought through to finish P4 in Race 1, which was run in slightly wet conditions, and again in Race 2. Race 3 was unfortunately a DNF for me, but we still came away with P4 overall!

A special thank you to my brother Jayden for trusting me with his R1, and Tony for spinning spanners and keeping me in line as always. 🙏

Looking forward to heading over to Indonesia for Round 3 of the Yamaha Blu Cru Asia Pacific Championship.

It’ll be my first time riding the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, so I’m excited to learn a new track, take in the experience and see what we can do. 💙🏁

P5 in the championship for my rookie season. ✊

I was hoping to finish a little stronger, and I had the potential, but it's not a bad result at all. I'm proud of all that I've achieved this season and look forward to working harder and coming back stronger next season.
