A new name for our next chapter!

SeaWestern Emergency Vehicles is now Ridgehound.

This new name reflects what our team in Yakima has grown to become: a dedicated manufacturer focused on purpose-built wildland and specialty apparatus.

Departments attending the New Mexico Fire Service Conference can see the Ridgehound Model 1 and talk with our team at the Ruidoso Convention Center Sept 24-26.

Take a look back at the recent delivery of this Model 3 to South Pierce Fire & Rescue!

Built right here in Yakima and designed for the demands of wildland response in the Pacific Northwest, this truck is now home and getting to work.

On September 11, 2001, firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS professionals, and first responders answered the call without knowing what awaited them.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives. We honor the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice and all who served through the rescue, recovery, and difficult days that followed.

Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Delivered and ready to get to work!

Last week, we had the opportunity to deliver this new Model 3 to South Pierce Fire and Rescue.

Built on a Ram 5500 4x4 chassis, this unit combines wildland capability with a highly functional, purpose-built apparatus package designed around South Pierce’s operational needs. From the open rear working deck and DNR inspired layout, to the compartmentation, pump system, lighting, and custom paint & graphics, every part of this truck was built with how it will be used in the field in mind.

We’re proud to add another SWEV-built apparatus to the South Pierce fleet and appreciate the continued trust their team has placed in us.
