Quick one people miss: on most trucks the cat shield is built into the transmission plate. You're not buying that twice.

Or do it yourself for nothing. Every plate bolts to factory holes. No drilling, no cutting. Jack, stands, metric sockets, about an hour. Try that with a bumper or a lift.
Here's the part worth sitting with. A stolen catalytic converter is $1,000 to $3,500 to replace (Carfax). A cracked oil pan that runs your engine dry starts the conversation at a new engine. And nobody budgets for a tow from two hours past the pavement.
If something's dragging under your truck right now, it's probably the factory splash shield. On a lot of platforms that part isn't even metal. The F-150 one is felt. It soaks up water, sags, and eventually drags. Put the same part back on and it fails the same way.
