"What about oil changes?" is hands down one of the most common questions we get. And it's a fair one to ask. 🛢️

Nobody wants full underbody protection that means dropping the whole skid every time the truck is due for service. So before you even ask, here's our answer: we thought about that.
We built an access window right into the skid.

Pull the small panel and you've got a clear shot at your drain plug and/or filter. Do the oil change, bolt the panel back on, done. No dropping the full skid, no fighting a dozen bolts on your back in the driveway, no excuse to skip the protection because servicing is a hassle.

That's the whole point of vehicle-specific armor. We design around how you actually live with and maintain your truck, not just how to cover the bottom of it. The access window lines up exactly where it needs to, because the plate is built for your truck and nothing else.

Everything that keeps your Super Duty running lives underneath it, right where the trail can reach it. 🛡️

Your engine oil pan, transmission, transfer case, and fuel tank all hang low and exposed. One hidden rock or stump is all it takes to crack a pan or puncture a tank, and that's not a limp-home problem, that's a tow-truck-and-a-ruined-weekend problem.

The Super Duty skid plate package puts 1/4" American-made aluminum between those parts and whatever's out there. Full underbody coverage, true bolt-on with no drilling or cutting, installed in about an hour or two, and backed by a lifetime warranty.

This Ranger Raptor came into the shop and left with its weak points reinforced and its stance dialed:

🔧 front and rear springs for a level, planted stance and real load support
🔧 tie rod reinforcement and LCA reinforcement kit (FMI), shoring up the two spots these trucks punish the hardest.

The Raptor is an incredible platform. A little reinforcement where it counts and it'll take everything you throw at it.

That's what our Wheat Ridge shop does. We get your rig trail ready, whatever you drive. And when you're ready to protect the underside, we make a bolt-on Ranger and Ranger Raptor skid plate package too.

Aluminum or steel? It's a really common question we get.

Steel sounds tougher, and that instinct makes sense. But material and thickness both matter. Our 1/4" aluminum absorbs and spreads impact, takes a hard hit, and does it at roughly a third to half the weight of equivalent steel. Less weight under the truck means less strain on your suspension and drivetrain.

The bigger long-term difference is corrosion. Steel needs coatings and touch-up paint to hold off rust, and once rust starts, it spreads. Aluminum doesn't corrode, full stop. We still powder coat every plate for extra durability and a clean finish, but the base material is working for you from day one.

Short version: aluminum gives you serious protection without the weight penalty, and it holds up for the life of the truck. That's why we build with it.
