Fresh off the dyno and ready to rip! 🔥

We absolutely loved having Kyle from in the shop. He brought us his original transmission, and in just a day and a half, our team stripped it completely down, washed it, painted it, rebuilt it, and put it to the test on the dyno.

Hearing Kyle say he feels like "a kid on Christmas" is exactly why we do what we do. There is nothing better than taking your original parts and breathing new, high-performance life into them. Next up for Kyle: hooking it up to that new ratchet shifter and getting it back on the road.

Efficiency is the standard at ATS Diesel, and today the shop is in high gear. ⚙️

We’re hosting Kyle from as we perform a complete overhaul on the transmission of his second-gen Cummins. Our team is wasting no time on this teardown because we know exactly what this build needs to handle the torque Kyle is planning to throw at it. 🛠️

To bulletproof this drivetrain, we are moving straight to a fully built, billet, full manual valve body setup. While Kyle’s right—it’s a mouthful to say five times fast—the performance on the pavement will speak for itself. By integrating our high-strength billet components with a full manual configuration, we’re giving this truck the ultimate combination of driver control and structural reliability.

Our 8AP Series:

We’re almost done with the 8AP install, and now it’s time to plug in the brains of the operation. We’ve taken the biggest challenge—translating signals between the vehicle and the TCM—and productionized it into this plug-and-play wiring harness kit.

🛠️ Tech Tip: Before you finish up, ALWAYS check your relays and fuses in the fuse box! The #1 tech call we get is "It's not firing up," and it usually turns out the fuses weren't seated correctly. Don't let the simple things get you!

This kit connects your power, ground, digital column shifter, and the Gateway software via USB for full configuration. It’s super crazy easy. Stay tuned to see how we configure it in Gateway and take it for a spin! 🚛💨

Maximizing Exhaust Braking Power with the Vortex Compound Kit! 🚛💨

We just finished a road test on our latest build, and the results on the grade are impressive. One of the biggest questions we get about running compounds is how it affects exhaust braking. The answer? It only gets better…

The Technical Advantages:

Precision Control: Because we utilize our 3000 VFR turbo as the small turbo in this compound setup, we maintain full control over the exhaust brake.

Tight Tolerances: We’ve brought the or***ce nozzle down to a 17-thousandth annulus. This creates an extremely aggressive exhaust brake that hits the absolute maximum safe PSI for full engine braking at high RPM.

The Win-Win: You get the massive air increase from the compound setup for acceleration, without sacrificing the downhill holding power you need when towing heavy.

This specific use case is for Tommy to haul his massive Ultra4 race trailer to California. When you're crossing those mountain passes with a heavy load, having an optimized vane pack that prevents over-pressurizing while maintaining maximum grip is a game-changer.

Getting this finalized and back to the customer so he can get to his race! 🏁

We just finished a dyno run on this compound turbo setup and the results speak for themselves. This truck came in with a stock baseline of 380 HP, and after nestling in the new compounds and dialing in the tune, we’re sitting at a smooth 503 HP!

Keep in mind, this isn’t built to be a race truck—this is a dedicated tow tune. We focused on reliability, cleanliness, and a power band that stays "very smooth" under load.

From Stock to Stacked in 8 Hours! ⏱️💨

We had this beautiful 2024 Ram Dually in the shop today for a serious upgrade. The mission? Full ATS Compounds and a Vortex Manifold install. 🛠️

It was a full day—we stripped the stock setup, discharged the AC to make room, and got to work. 8 hours later, the table is empty and the truck is stuffed! We’re running the Aurora 3000/6000 compound setup with our Vortex Manifold, and it is looking CLEAN. 🔥

Everything is buttoned up, clamps are tight, and the intake is going on now. Next stop: The Dyno. Stay tuned for the numbers! 📈
