Blue Hill '26: Focus and Friends has its first raffle giveaway thanks to sponsor The Gaming Hoard! The Gaming Hoard is a gaming store in Broken Arrow, OK that carries videogames and tabletop games including Pokemon cards! They were a sponsor last year and have returned this year with more great items for us to give away at Blue Hill '26!

I want your input though...should we raffle each of these videogame systems individually or do a "retro gaming package" where one winner gets the whole bundle at Blue Hill '26?

Good Afternoon FocusFest Family!

State of the Union from your lovely Immigrant in charge-

FocusFest 25’ has been inquired, asked, and chased around for an answer. Unfortunately as many of you know I have been going through a lot of life changes this past year and my focus (pun intended) has been stretched all over.

I wasn’t able to lock down the track of preference this year and due to raising cost of other venues it is not feasible without charging not only our sponsors more but our attendees much more and we own Fords not Porsches..

But don’t fret- FocusFest is not gone- we’re taking a page from the past and taking a break this year to put together an awesome event for 26’

Of course we all want to see our family and link together. So this year there are two major events happening in the US that we stand behind!

Midwest: one of our loving organizers Jason host an awesome meet as a “thank you to the community” formally known as BHR. A meet that happened originally as a celebration of life when the Focus community came together and revived Sonic from the Gods of Salvage. Jason is bringing it back to get the family together

Link for Blue Hill Reunion will be in comments-

East Coast: FocusRising at Ford Nationals! The Forum Days: A Reunion 25 years in the making

One of the oldest gatherings of Foci and Family that takes place at Ford Nationals is doing the anniversary themed event!

One of the organizers is family to FocusFest and has volunteered for us for ages. He can barely keep an engine going without blowing up which is why he want back to the MK1 powertrain. Jeff Bosse is becoming a pillar of the community and we’re excited to see what FocusRising does with him on their board of organizers.

You've been to FocusFest before, from 2008 through 2024. So tell us....

What is the ONE thing that you want at every FocusFest?

Also, what is ONE thing that you wouldn't care to see again at a FocusFest.

Let's see what you have to say, and please be specific which is which in your reply. 😂

My Dearest Gentle Readers-

FocusFest 24’ a thank you from Luis-

What a trip, met with some hurdles and changes that like any proper event we faced with what we could the best we could.

When I inherited this event it came with a great team put together by Ben with a solid core of guys. We’ve expanded and fighting to keep it alive. As we all know this event outgrew the Focus and it created families and bonds that outweigh our loveable hatches.

One of the reasons you’ll find Mustangs, Miata’s, Aston’s, and even minivans. Friendships forged years ago still enduring today!

I’ve heard many positives and received heartfelt thank you from many attendees.

Of course without the help of our volunteers, our amazing sponsors, and even you the attendee. We couldn’t do this.

That being said- sometimes certain people get overlooked or under appreciated because of their own selflessness.

I’d like to give my flowers to a few people that stepped up and exceeded what we asked for.

I’d like to start with the person that not only designed our new website and tshirt design, James from Don’t Suck that not only sponsored the event, but James is an extremely busy individual and yet made time to lend us his talents and build us a whole new look. Despite doing this all for no cost, we really appreciate you for the work you did.

Charlie J:

Charlie has been our creative and graphic designer for as long as I can remember, he not only has been responsible for all our past and our new refreshed logos, but also has taken the awesome role of the cool trophies we give out. All with a unique touch in the small details. Charlie relocated to Arizona and couldn’t make it this year, but he has been an integral part of FocusFest for years and despite not being there, we love you Charlie and thank you for all you do.

Melanie B:

Melanie is a new addition to the FocusFest Team, she’s been a constant volunteer in the past but this year she took on the role of Marketing and Sponsor Outreach. A task that is ridiculously difficult especially in today’s world. She has been relentlessly working and hounding sponsors to help us bring this event and we couldn’t do it without her efforts.

Chris H.

Chris has been part of our volunteer team for a couple events now and each event she without hesitation takes on more and more duties and this year she led the ship holding down the FocusFest Tent. She even helped me with distributing food this year, without even me asking.

I know Jason isn’t easy, but I’m glad you’re in his life. You made him better and in turn our event better!

Of course I can go all day thanking folks but no one wants to read that-

But I wanted to really reach out and thank Jason from Sonic the SVT Focus for what he did this year for FocusFest.

This year I had to slow down since moving to Dallas and restarting my life as a Chef/Pitmaster and with my world flipping Jason reached out to me and said what can I do to help. So not only did he selflessly ask for more, but he added duties of social media and marketing on top of his day of events.

Jason has been one of the most important pillars of the Foci community, and I say this without exaggeration, he has been one of the main reasons FocusFest continues forward.

Jason, we love you man and keep being you. You’re forever in the FocusFest family even if you were first Team FocalJet (FocusFanatics for Life)

And of course to wrap this up-

Ben thank you for creating this family- what you did will always live on- thank you for being there for me and our team.

Also for dealing with the hotel even if half the toilets were sus lol

Until Next Year!!

Luis-
