Man what a Show stopper of a Jeep this 22' Gladiator was. We had fun doing some really cool upgrades Including the lighting and audio System. PLUS some exterior mods and a loud a** train horn.
The following write up is long and detailed for those enthusiast who enjoy the techincal side of things please read on , Everyone else enjoy the pics!!
The Customer came to us after a previous install left him wanting more. This Jeep was already phenomenal build on the outside but the inside was severely lacking the same amount of attention to customization/detail. So we did what Infinite Sound Systems does. Make your dream a reality.
We 1st started by removing all the previous install of electrical wiring and upgraded it with our Premium GP "Merica" edition Power/ground cable. Coupled with using hydraulic crimped pure copper lugs with heat shrink on every connection made sure it was solid and would last for years to come. We then did factory style hidden wire runs to makenit look like it belonged and was protected from the elements under the hood.
After that we needed to give this thing the LEDGlow Lighting underglow treatment by outfitting it with the latest technology custom 27 Piece Bluetooth Multimillion Color Interior /exterior system. And man is this kit packed with sooo many features. The led kits are housed in watertight Tubes , not cheaply made strips, so they will last in the elements, especially for the Jeep offroad crowd. Plus they shine so bright due to thier huge LEd chipset.
Then we moved on to our true specialty.
The Audio.
We started by upgrading the entire front sounstage with a mixture of DS18 Pro 1" bullet tweets and Rockford Fosgate Punch Coaxials. The factory for some reason believed you can get full sound out of 4" drivers?? So we had custom pods outfitted with some 6.5" RF Punches. For the rear fill party, a fully LED lighted DS18 soundbar with 4 8" Marine speakers with metal grilles and 4 1.75" tweets was used.
Then to complete the system, a custom bedliner ported enclosure by Fox Acoustics housing a Ds18 ZR 10" sub was added with a cool LED glow ring.
To power this entire soundstage we used the newer line of Rockford Fosgate Micro Punch Amps. Man do these thing pack a punch...no pun intended lol. To really make this amp setup as clean as the exterior we made a custom amp rack and aligned it in a nice square stacked pattern.
What a challenge it was to fully intergrate into the Chrysler U connect system, but with the help of Maestro I data link, it really took it to a pro installer friendly level. Then to really bring this soundstage to life we added the Rockford DSR-1 DSP sound procrssor to fine tune the equalization and crossovers curves. We also made a custom board to mount it to. Woah what a difference and RTA tune can make in a system. How crisp and clean you get the audio at FULL volume without distoring is just Awesome!!! And of course we intergrated the LedGlow system to match the interior theme.
We wanted to control the bass so we had to implement a RF Punch level control, and we really wanted to make it pop. So we built a custom led backlit bezel in the empty pocket on the dash bezel. This was next level and a Super clean addition, As the gladiator logo backlight matches whichever color is being displayed. We also mounted an manual Led controller on the console just in case you didnt want to break your phone out, for on the fly color/pattern adjustments.
For added security we hardwired a 4 positon camera front/rear dash cam to get every angle of action .
After the interior was complete we moved to add some custom exterior flare. These full custom painted metal overlay American Flag inner wheel fenders really took up the appreance up a notch especially when being lit up by the LED wheel well kits.
Then as icing on the cake the customer wanted a Full array Viking trumpet Air Train Horn mounted in the spare tire location. So we made a neatly organized custom polycarb board layout and did the hideaway install of the dual compressors/air tank and ran it to a custom Led lit horn switch flush mounted in dash bezel. Man will you almost get a heart attack when this thing is activated, cover your ears!
To make it even more discreet we added a custom lip spolier to fill the gap between the tailgate and lower bumper to hide this beast of a horn setup.
All in all this customer presented all these upgrades to his wonderful wife. What a blessing it was to watch the joy on her face when it all was revealed. Look out for this radical Gladiator at your next Jeep enthusiast event and watch out for more upgrades comimg soon.
