1990 corvette sitting a little lower than it should be ? Check your mono leaf! Yes this era of corvette used one fiberglass(esk) leaf spring in the front and one in the rear to support the weight of the car (yes engineering is amazing i know) well I guess they don’t last forever here is one full of fractures and some plys breaking we advised replacement , they denied 🤷

Started out as a oil leak from the valley pan … now the diff is out , the rack is out , the oil pan is off, accessories are off , waterpump is off the oil pump is out and it’s getting timing done all because we spotted a broken chain guide when doing valley pan. All started with a “quick look over” and now we’re here 😳

Every single time we open a cooling system before we call it good we pressurize the system and let it sit as long as feasible . Not only does this verify that the repair doesn’t have any leaks , it checks the rest of the system as well . It’s impressive how many times this helps catch a small leak that wasn’t on anyone’s radar! Just a small step that gives both us as the repairer and the customer the peace of mind knowing everything tidy 💪

Job of the day: 10 Hyundai accent … remember if you don’t schedule your maintenance your car will schedule it for you , timing belt let go on this one and DID wad up 2 valves , unlike yesterdays Crv , this became a bigger job than it ever needed to be due to overdue belt maintenance. Bummer

Job of the day : 14 Crv in for some engine repairs , timing jumped but he was fortunate enough to not wad up the valves. New timing set along with oil pump set
