Kevin’s Auto Repair Service in Swoyersville is looking for a full-time position in Quality Control / Shop Support to join our team.
This is one of the most important roles in the shop. Before a repaired vehicle goes back to the customer, we perform a quality check to make sure the job was done right. This person will help confirm that repairs were completed properly, customer concerns were resolved, fluids are checked and full, wheels are torqued for the second time, and the vehicle is ready to be returned to the customer with confidence.
This is not a sit-around job. You’ll be moving throughout the day helping keep the shop clean, organized, and professional. That includes floors, bathrooms, trash, parking lot, technician bays, shop tools and equipment, and keeping our loaner vehicles presentable and ready for our customers. We take pride in how our shop looks, and we need someone who takes that seriously.
You will be performing a test-drive on ALL vehicles after repairs, including vehicles with manual transmissions, and occasionally shuttle customers locally with our shuttle vehicle. So, you must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, be comfortable driving customer vehicles, and be personable and presentable when interacting with customers.
This could be a great position for a retired technician who still wants to be around the business without turning wrenches every day. It could also be a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is hungry, dependable, detail-oriented, and wants a chance to grow in the automotive field.
The right person for this job is reliable, fast-moving, humble, friendly, and willing to help wherever needed. You notice the little things. You don’t need to be reminded constantly. You take pride in doing things right, even when nobody is standing over your shoulder.
What we are NOT looking for is someone who cuts corners, has a poor attitude, is miserable, drives carelessly, needs constant babysitting, shows up late, or thinks cleaning and support work are beneath them.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Pay is based on experience. Benefits include PTO, health insurance, weekends off, paid holidays, employee discounts, and growth opportunities for the right person with the right attitude, skill set, and aptitude.
