In 2026, WKC is hosting 4 road racing karting events – 3 at Summit Point (WV) Motorsports Park and 1 at the North Carolina Center for Auto Research (NCCAR).

Registration Now Open for August Summit Point AKRA Nationals

It's the busiest time of year at Woodbridge Kart Club with two races within four weeks coming up at Summit Point Motorsports Park!

Following next weekend's Regional Road Race at the Shenandoah Circuit, we'll turn our full attention to WKC's biggest race of the year, the August 14-16 AKRA Karting Nationals at the 2-mile Summit Point (Main) Circuit.

As always at Summit Main, a full day of practice is offered Friday, which closes with the the Jack Foster Memorial Vintage Road Race, and the paddock opens for parking on Thursday night, August 13.

We're looking forward to hosting another memorable AKRA Nationals at the Main Circuit, and we hope to see another great crowd for this fourth round of the AKRA / Hoosier Kartsport National Road Racing Series!

In just under 2 weeks we will be back racing for our penultimate rounds of the season. On July 25-26 The Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Motorsports Park will set the stage for rounds 7 & 8 of the 2026 Woodbridge Kart Club season. Regarded as the most technical track on the road race calendar the 13 corner clockwise road course always puts on great racing.

For the first time in club history we are welcoming the Northeast Karting Challenge to one of our events as this will be a points race for them in select classes bringing more talented racers to this event.

Another first time for WKC will be the introduction to rolling starts for most single speed classes which should only make the racing even better.

With over 100 entries now and more rolling in we expect this to be an event you won’t want to miss. Pre-entry remains open on Alpha timing linked below with early pricing ending on Monday July 20th make sure to get registered ASAP. Hope to see you all there!

For the first time the Northeast Karting Challenge will join WKC at Summit Point's Shenandoah Circuit this July 25-26 in a new collaboration.

The NKC is an established sprint series that runs at tracks like NJMP and OVRP. Both the WKC and NKC series are reaching out of the box, if you will, to partner in an effort to boost Shenandoah entry numbers and competition, and help both programs. Both race days will count for NKC and WKC points, so we’re expecting some new racers and faces!

The only major change to the traditional Shenandoah format will be starting procedures 🟢🟢 for most classes. Instead of our enduro-style standing starts, we’ll be doing rolling starts for most race groups on both Saturday and Sunday.
