WKC Road Racing returns to Summit Point July 25-26 with our annual event at the Shenandoah Circuit.

Rounds 3-4 of the 2026 Capital Karting Challenge are this weekend back on their Washington Circuit. With great weather in the forecast entries are starting to roll in. Early Pre-Entry pricing will end on Thursday so get those entries submitted if you’d like to take advantage of it.

Sprint karting THIS WEEKEND at Summit Point Motorsports Park's Washington Circuit.

We support this event and all CKC races at Summit this year, however, this is not a WKC-sanctioned race — direct messages to the Capital Karting Challenge page!

It’s race week!! With entries rolling in here is the tentative schedule and class order for this weekends opening rounds of the Capital Karting Challenge at Summit Point Motorsports park.

Round 1 on Saturday will feature our Heat Format offering plenty of track time for all those in attendance. Round 2 on Sunday will be the Pre-Final format with longer races which will provide a different challenge. This allows us to wrap up a little earlier on Sunday to provide competitors extra time for loading up and travel plans so everyone can get home at a reasonable time.

On site camping will be available on Friday and Saturday night free of charge for all competitors. Parking and load in will be available on Friday night after 5PM. Reserved parking spots are available for purchase but are not required to compete in this weekends events. Hope to see everyone there!

Thank you all for attending rounds 3-4 of the Woodbridge Kart Club 2026 season at NCCAR. We appreciate your effort to come support the club and hope everyone had a fun and fast weekend.

Next up on the WKC points schedule is rounds 5-6 on Father’s Day weekend June 19-21. This event is apart of the AKRA national championship and will be hosted by DART kart club. This event always draws a crowd and we encourage our WKC members to try to it out if you have not.

Our next event that we will be hosting will be back at Summit Point Motorsports Park on July 25-26 on the Shenandoah Circuit. We will also be welcoming the Northeastern Karting Challenge to this event as it will be a points event for them so there will be plenty of new faces to race with and you won’t want to miss it.

Lastly just another thank you to all of the racers and family who chose to spend their money and time to come race with us we appreciate everyone as without you guys we wouldn’t be able to run these events. Hope to see everyone at another event this season!

This weekend we head to the North Carolina Center for Automotive Research. Located just 8 miles past the VA/NC boarder right off I-95, the 2 mile 13 turn configuration is fast and flowing giving a good challenge to both kart and driver alike.

This race is our second event of the year comprising of rounds 3-4 of our championship but with drops rounds everyone is still able to win it even if you missed the first event.

This event also serves as the AKRA (American Kart Racing Alliance) national series season opener. This series which contests tracks like Mid-Ohio, Nelson Ledges, Summit Point and formerly Pitt Race always draws a crowd.

There will also be a special CIK Lo206 375Lb Pro Race “Carolina 206 Cash Dash” will take place on Saturday following the regularly scheduled races and featuring more than $1000 in prize money already put up you won’t want to miss it.
