Winter is coming...

This GMC 2500 AT4 in Sterling Heights is ready for it. Exterior Deluxe today — iron decon and clay pulled the bugs and bonded grime out of the paint, then a 6-month ceramic sealant went on top. Wheels, wheel wells, and tires finished after.

The sealant is the part that matters. Michigan salt starts hitting the roads in a few weeks and it does not come off with a normal wash. A sealed surface gives the brine something to sit on besides your clear coat, and the truck rinses clean all winter instead of staying dull.

Get it done before the first salt run.

Deluxe Interior Detail on a work truck for MK Pro Painting in Rochester yesterday.

Crew trucks take a beating. Months of boots, drop cloths, and job site dust ground into the mats and carpet.

Everything got steamed first, then the carpets and seats shampooed with hot water extraction. All-weather mats pulled and scrubbed, seats cleaned, dash and door panels wiped down, sills and jambs finished.

A clean truck pulling into a customer's driveway says something before anyone gets out. If you run a crew, I can work through the fleet on a schedule.

Deluxe Interior Detail on a Honda Odyssey in Lapeer today.

Van belongs to a teacher at the elementary school, so I worked on it in the staff lot during the school day. She handed me the keys in the morning and it was done before the final bell.

Second and third rows were the real work — kid debris packed into every seat track and crevice. Everything got steamed, then the carpets and seats shampooed with hot water extraction. Dash, doors, and glass finished after.

Road film and dust had built up across the whole lower half of the truck. Outside got iron decon and clay to pull the bonded contamination out of the paint, then a 6-month ceramic sealant on top. Wheels, wheel wells, and tires finished after.

Inside got steamed, carpets and seats shampooed with hot water extraction, mats pulled and scrubbed, and the under-seat storage cleared out — spot most people never open.

Steam, decon, clay, and the sealant all come with the Deluxe.

Detailed this 2001 7-Series at the airport today while the owner was on shift.

He's an aircraft mechanic — couldn't exactly leave work to drop a car off somewhere. So I brought everything to him. Water tank, generator, compressor, all of it rides in the truck. No spigot, no outlet, no problem.

That's the part people don't realize about mobile. It isn't just convenient, it means the car gets done on a day you'd otherwise never find time for. Work lot, apartment, condo, office parking structure — if there's room to open the doors, I can work.

Car came out clean and he walked out to it at the end of his shift.

Maintenance wash on this Mustang today — second time out to this one.

This is what the maintenance plan is for. The car gets a full detail up front, then I come back on a set schedule to keep it there. Takes a fraction of the time because the hard work is already done, and the paint never gets far enough gone to need the full treatment again.

Washed, dried, wheels and tires cleaned, glass done inside and out.

Big vehicle, so the inside took a while. Steamed the vents, cupholders, door jambs, and all three rows, then shampooed the carpets with hot water extraction.

Outside got iron decon and clay to pull the bonded contamination & pine tar out of the paint, then a 6-month ceramic sealant on top. Wheels, wheel wells, and tires done after.

Steam, decon, clay, and the sealant are all built into the Deluxe. Not add-ons.

Standard Full-Service Detail on this Chevy Trax in Lake Orion today.

Everything inside got steamed — vents, cupholders, door jambs, seams, all the spots a vacuum and a rag can't reach. Steam pulls the grime out instead of pushing it deeper, and it does it without soaking the interior in chemicals.

Outside got a foam soak and a hand wash, wheels and wheel wells cleaned, tires dressed, bug and tar spots worked off the front end, glass cleaned inside and out, and a spray wax laid on while drying for gloss and a little protection.
