A customer paid good money for "high performance" 80lb injectors. When we characterized them the flow balance was all over the place and the actual flow rate was 74lb. Not 80. Not matched. Not tuneable.

He paid for performance. He got mismatched injectors with zero quality control.

MYTH: "Ethanol fuel is hard on injectors so there is no point servicing them"

TRUTH: Oh Yes, E85 and high ethanol blends demand more from your injectors. Higher flow requirements. More aggressive fuel chemistry. More heat. More stress on seals and internal components.

But.... that is exactly why servicing them matters more not less!!!

An E85 application with inconsistent injectors is not just leaving power on the table. It is running some cylinders dangerously lean under boost. The more demanding the application the more critical the service.

MYTH: If the injector sprays it is working fine.
TRUTH: Spraying and performing correctly are two completely different things.

We grade every injector spray pattern Good, Fair or Poor. An injector can spray and still have a completely inconsistent pattern delivering fuel unevenly, atomizing incorrectly, creating rich spots in some areas of the combustion chamber and lean spots in others.

An injector that sprays poorly is not delivering fuel the way your engine needs it. It is just moving fuel.
And moving fuel and delivering fuel correctly are not the same thing!
