Helmet tech just took a weird, brilliant turn.

AGV's new Pista GP R3 debuted at MotoGP this past week with over 1,600 tiny plastic spheres packed under the shell — a system called Sphera, designed to roll and absorb rotational force in an angled hit, the kind of impact that causes real trouble. AGV claims it's up to 6x more effective than their last-gen race helmet at reducing that rotational load. It's track-focused for now, but tech like this has a habit of trickling down to street lids within a season or two.

Full-face or modular? The "right" answer depends on your ride, not your ego.
