Change happens:
Henrico County has advanced plans for the Brook Road bicycle lane, on the west side of Brook, between Villa Park / Wilkinson Rd, along Brook Rd to Lakeside Ave and then Hilliard. The bike trail will be 12’ wide with a 2’ easement on either side.

The county is taking 16’ of our property from the Brook Rd curb and right turn lane, in towards our building along Brook Rd to the corner of Lakeside Ave.

Removal of light poles that have been here for decades, began today.

Why the bikers and county did not use the old trolly line between downtown and Ashland is a mystery. It would make a much more pleasant experience for bikers to ride on a rail-to-trail path instead along a busy Brook Rd / US Rte 1.
