Forewarning: this is a long post. No fancy words or shiny pictures.
We sailed right through a milestone during the busy summer season of 2025. Sac Auto Body was established 10 years ago, June 1, 2015.
I turned 30 years old 25 days later. My youngest son was 4 months old. Had some people close to me that were supportive, but concerned that I left the stability of Roy’s Westside Autobody.
In hindsight, despite the ups and downs of an autobody technician deciding to put on the entrepreneurship hat, 10 years has come and gone quickly. What started in my home garage has moved through two commercial locations. My closest friends and family have stuck by me, believed in me, saw a growth potential, work ethic and attention to detail that I didn’t even realize I had.
Words cant fully encompass the gratitude I have to all of you who have supported this small business and referred your friends and family to us. We have never advertised or contracted with any entity to receive work or keep busy. Your support and referrals are what have truly kept this business alive especially on those days that I wondered if I was going down the right path.
Thank you to my wife, Shannon: for sticking by my side from the very beginning.
Thank you to Roy and Terri McLaws, the owners of Roy’s Westside Autobody: for giving me a start fresh out of school from Wyotech and giving me their blessing to go off on my own when I left their shop and crew after investing 10 years into me. Was a very difficult and emotional decision. Thank you to Corey Crowder: who threw me a few jobs and helped me physically get my garage setup when it all first started.
Thank you to the man I cannot ever thank enough, Mathew Brown: who helped on his days off when it was just me in the shop, eventually left his previous employer to come on full time. The man who treated this business like his own…with care, professionalism. He has the same work ethic, attention to detail and concern for our quality of work and customers that I do. I truly do not know where SAC Auto Body would be today had Mat not taken a chance on me and a vision. I owe thanks to a lot more than I can type, but know that I am grateful for all of you and your support over the years.
Thank you all and Happy 10 years to all of the relationships that gave me the push to pursue a dream and to all of the new relationships that have flourished since.
