🚨 E60 M5 WON’T GO INTO GEAR? THIS IS WHY PROPER DIAGNOSTICS MATTER. ⚙️🔥

This BMW E60 M5 with the SMG transmission came to Motorcepts after the transmission malfunction warning appeared, the car popped out of gear, and wouldn’t engage first.

• 💻 Fault codes showed clutch activation and position deviation issues
• 🔧 Transmission removed for a complete inspection
• ⚠️ PLCD clutch sensor had shorted and the wiring harness was burned
• ⚙️ Slave cylinder was also completely damaged
• ✅ New slave cylinder + PLCD sensor installed
• 🙌 Luckily, we had the necessary harness available—even though it isn’t normally sold separately

Next step: transmission back in, calibration and adaptations, then it’s back on the road. 🏁

🚨 PARTS DISCONTINUED? THAT DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN THE REPAIR STOPS. 🔧🔥

This beautiful 1990 Mercedes-Benz 500SL came to Motorcepts with a power steering fluid leak.

• 💧 Diagnosis revealed a leaking power steering pump and multiple high-pressure hydraulic lines

• 🔍 We found the replacement pump—but the original hydraulic lines were discontinued and unavailable

• 🛠️ Instead of stopping there, we removed the original lines and repaired them using our equipment

• ⚙️ New rubber hoses and fittings were installed while retaining the necessary original components

• ✅ Everything went back on the 500SL, the leaks were addressed, and this classic is ready to get back on the road

Older cars can require more than simply ordering a replacement part. Sometimes, you need a shop willing to find another solution. 💯

Daniel brought his BMW 335i with the N55 to Motorcepts after experiencing multiple issues following a pull.

• 💨 Multiple codes pointed toward a boost leak
• 🔍 A smoke test revealed the charge pipe wasn’t fully secured
• 🛢️ We also found a leaking valve cover, explaining the burning-oil smell through the vents
