Come change a flex joint with me 🦾

This customers flex joint was partially torn, so we replaced it before it completely tore.

The flex joint is a reinforced rubber disc found in RWD or AWD vehicles. It connects the transmission output shaft to the driveshaft.
It acts as a shock absorber for rotational power, smoothing out harsh torque changes from the engine and accommodating slight misalignments between the transmission and the axle.

A torn flex joint would cause vibration on acceleration, clunking noises when shifting gears, vibrations at highway speeds, and if it is completely torn it can cause damage to the drive train.
