Multiple Valve service Jobs on the Yamaha R1 this week, number 3 happens to be a 2018 Yamaha R1M. They have the valve service interval listed at 27,000 miles, after inspection and checking the clearances, even though this bike is under the 27k miles, we would not recommend waiting that long to do a valve clearance check on these bikes. Tight valves and cam wear can cost you dearly if not maintained properly and serviced when needed!

We can only do so much on a budget. If it was a GP Bikes Inc bike it would have gotten the whole nine yards. (If someone can explain the full nine yards, which is an American term, come pick up a free pair of Sharkwear street sweeper gloves.) but on a budget we’re gonna set the tire pressures, clean and adjust the chain and make sure the adjusters are tightened down and drain the overfilled oil to the right level. Which it was 3/4 quart over filled. Enjoy your weekend and be safe and don’t forget to give them the full Nine yards!
