Me being the worst salesman in the world.
There are two reasons why we avoid working on any harness going back into a factory truck for any retail customer.
First, once we touch the harness every little thing that ever goes wrong with the truck again gets blamed on our work. It may be completely unrelated such as trailer wiring but people find a way to try and push it off and make it our problem. I then have to spend hours proving that the issue they're having is completely unrelated to the work that we did. It's not worth it at any price.
Second, we are regularly asked to delete emission related circuits on harnesses going back into Factory trucks. Although the current Administration is pardoning diesel techs for convictions related to emissions tampering, I don't feel like getting in that line. Again not worth it at any price.
