Moto America R9, New Jersey Motorsports Park.
A bit of a race report for the final round of MA
Quite a mixed bag of conditions, rained a lot, so much so Sunday barely happened, but was sunny on the Friday..!
Bad luck, crashed on a warm up lap because of gas or oil on track
Great riding, both in the dry and the wet never giving up
Team building, repairing bikes while drinking tea and eating pizza
Walking on water (Air BB flooded each day due to tide ebb and flow)
Driving (2550 miles) great gas economy nearly 10mpg !!!!!
The final round had a lot to show us in all areas I I feel we made steady forward steps in all of them. Bike was faultless and rider was focused.
If I can make one small suggestion to the head shed of Moto America...
RACE AT NJMP IN FREEKING JUNE NOT SEPTEMBER IT RAINS THERE,
IT RAINS A LOT,
ITS RAINDED THERE FOR THE LAST MILLION YEARS THAT MA HAS GONE THERE THIS TYPE OF WEATHER IS NOT AN UNKNOWN NOR IS IT UNEXPECTED!!!!
Rant over,
Suggestion, make COTA the final round in September!
Its hot and warm and racing can have its season end with people watching in the crowd!!! Not hiding from the rain...
Special mention to Chris Strickland Stickland Strickland Media who makes a great job of the pics and posting them, not bad for a lad who looks like he needs a nap every hour!
Shon Morrow for fixing the bike after it went dancing a couple times.
Scott N Lea Cunnison for doing all the "Gunny" timing and organizing Stuff.
And Lit Logan C for absolutely never giving up and making bast of it, scaring the crap out of us on pit lane with pink sectors when he has not idea how fast that is!!!! Taking P9 in the 2nd Supersport race giving me my first top 10 Finnish!!!!!!
And finnally my Trusty kettle, without whom my weekend racing would have been cold, got to have a hot brew when there's a job on!!!
Thanks to all who follow what we do and the kind words and encouragement we get along the way, it doesn't go unnoticed.
