We know that what is underneath a roof can be as important as what you see on top. One thing about Flexarmor sprayed RV roofs that is confusing to people, is the way, on some roofs, you can see where the plywood seam is under the material.

When you don't know the prep, you can think it looks like the plywood is coming up. We take a few minutes to show how we create that stretch point on purpose to make sure, no matter what you put your RV thru, it won't split or cause problems.

As things change, many products go out of production. Newmar motorhomes are victim of an old style ac that is no longer made.

A few times a year we see someone come through and they complain the AC hasn't worked since it was replaced. We usually find the new openings don't match the roof openings.

Luckily for this motorhome, all is good. If you have an AC change and it isn't working as well, probably something related to duct work and lining up intake and out vents.

Even after 21 years, you never know what you will see. David kept insisting that this Newmar had plywood and they would have to get to the screws to get the wood removed. Ian kept insisting that he couldn't find a single seam and there were no plywood sheets.

There are many types of RV roofs out there. In the end, one you can repair if you have to is the best type to get.

There is nothing worse than finding out you can't fix something and have to total it out.

Newmar Motorhomes are nice, too bad they tend to suffer more than most from roof damage. The good news is, they have trusses and attic space, they can be repaired and rarely suffer actual structural damage.
