Wichita Raceway Park Announces Inaugural Thanksgiving $50K Throwdown Set for November 27–28, 2026

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Wichita Raceway Park in partnership with Cotton Co. Promotions and Gee & West Bracket Enterprises is proud to announce the inaugural Thanksgiving $50K Throwdown, a massive two-day bracket racing event taking place November 27–28, 2026.

Designed to cap off the season with one of the biggest bracket racing weekends in the region, the Thanksgiving $50K Throwdown will feature multiple guaranteed payouts across several classes, highlighted by a headline-grabbing $50,000-to-win Black Friday 50K Throwdown.

The event kicks off Thursday evening with parking opening at 3:00 PM followed by a Potluck Practice Tree Race at 7:00 PM, giving racers and families an opportunity to kick off the holiday weekend together before competition begins Friday morning.

Friday and Saturday action begins with gates opening at 8:00 AM and time runs starting at 10:00 AM each day.

The weekend’s featured classes include:

* Top Bulb — $10,000 to win each day
* No Box — $4,000 to win each day
* Jr Dragster — $500 to win each day
* Black Friday 50K Throwdown — $50,000 cash to win

The Black Friday 50K Throwdown will be limited to just 64 entries, creating an elite, high-stakes atmosphere for competitors looking to race for one of the largest payouts of the season. Entry into the 50K Throwdown requires participation in the main event.

Organizers have emphasized that all advertised main event purses are 100% guaranteed, regardless of turnout, underscoring their commitment to delivering a premier racer experience.

The goal is to create a destination-style Thanksgiving weekend event that racers and families look forward to every year. Huge guaranteed payouts, competitive racing, and a fun holiday atmosphere at Wichita Raceway Park are what this event is all about.

The official $50K Throwdown entry list opens October 1st, with only 64 spots available before an alternate list begins.
