By far the coolest thing I’ve had in my shop. Original 1930’s era mini sprint car. This was the customer’s grandfather’s car and apparently he couldn’t fit both legs in it and raced it with his right leg outside the car resting on the foot peg behind the right front wheel. No pedals. One lever for the throttle and one for the brake.

Owner has restored it with a modern engine. He brought it to me to make a seat. I’ve never done anything like this before and it was a challenge, but I enjoyed working on this one. I was ready for the owner to get it back but it sure would have looked good displayed on the wall of my shop.

Very nicely restored 1931 Ford Model A Roadster Deluxe gets a new top at Rocket City Convertible Tops. This one was a bit of a challenge, but I think it turned out nice. Sadly this car is leaving Alabama and heading to northern California in a few weeks. 😔 I could hear and feel the hesitation in it as it was pulling out. 😢

This week 2 Miata’s are coming in and a 1931 Ford Model A is in process of getting a new top.
