Burb is done but had a few issues come up so dropped that off today and got to working on this one again. Carb is bolted on, pulled the distributor because the vacuum advance was no good and found other issues with that so have a new complete unit on the way. Pulled the back tires to check the brakes and surprisingly enough everything is new back there. Just clean up and get some nice paint on the drums and polish the wheels. The next step will be dropping the tanks and getting it ready for the new ones.

Well first fire up was a success! 60+ psi oil pressure, few heat cycles and it's running good so far. Got a couple things to finish up before a test drive. The old engine never showed more than 3psi oil pressure but I wasn't sure if it was a gauge or sensor issue. But it ran and never seemed low. This one varies so at least I know it's accurate now. Sounds a lot better than the old engine but I won't know how good it is until I get it out on the road. 355 stock TBI roller cam engine, fresh 4l80e and fresh transfer case so hopefully it'll be good for a while.

Transmission and transfer case fully bolted in and hooked up. A couple more parts on the engine and a lot of cleaning. Thanks again to Master Shift Transmissions for the work with the transmission and transfer case. Ready to put this thing to the test towing, running the dunes and cruising back roads with the family

Had some time today, got the engine bay cleaned up and got some fresh paint on the frame. The engine is all painted, the intake is ready to be put on and I was just waiting for the paint to dry in the bolts. Just to bolt a few odds and ends before setting it in.

Between this and finding the stator bushings being bad in the burb, I'm glad I decided to pull the transmission and have it gone through while the engine is out. Be good as new here in a couple weeks when I can get it all back together and hopefully enjoy summer with it
