What makes a VIP experience actually feel valuable?

It turns out, it may have very little to do with feeling like a VIP.

Women In Automotive® introduced its VIP experience for the first time at the 2026 conference, offering additional access, reserved seating, hotel accommodations and other perks designed to make the weekend easier.

But when I spoke with first-time attendees Sarah Galloway and Julie O'Dwyer about their experience, what stood out wasn't the list of extras.

It was what those extras made possible.

Sarah found herself more engaged in the learning and connected to parts of the automotive industry she'd rarely experienced. Julie found access to women she could relate to in a field where her role can sometimes feel "a little obscure."

And both arrived asking what Women In Automotive could give them.

Both left asking what they could give back.

In the final article from the 2026 Women In Automotive Conference, Sarah and Julie share what worked, what could make VIP even better, and why they would recommend the experience to other first-time attendees.

Today we're celebrating Jeni Bukolt and a kind of leadership that can have an impact long after a title, project, or job has changed.

Jeni's peers describe her as someone who sees potential in people before they can see it in themselves.

She encourages them to go after what's possible. She pushes them when they need it. She tells them the truth. And when they win, she celebrates right alongside them.

But perhaps what says the most about Jeni is this: she genuinely wants the people around her to succeed, even when there's nothing in it for her.

That's the kind of leader people remember.

A lot of people are introduced to Women In Automotive® at an event — but the community doesn't pack up when the event ends. Starting a career in automotive can feel like walking into a room where everyone already knows the rules. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀: 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. Women In Automotive is where women at the very start of their journey find mentors, friends, and people who remember exactly what that first year felt like. Everyone starts somewhere. Enhild Herrera, Marlinda Phillips, and Selena Anderson arrived at the Women In Automotive Conference with different careers, different levels of experience, and the same quiet question:

Each woman found her own answer through the people who welcomed her, the lessons she carried home, and the confidence she discovered along the way.

But the most meaningful part of their stories may be what happened next. They did not simply receive community. They began thinking about how they could create it for other women.

After more than 38 years in automotive, Sally has built the kind of career that demonstrates just how many opportunities exist for women throughout this industry.

Her experience spans dealership operations, accounting, technology, business transformation, privately held dealer groups, and serving as Chief Information Officer of Penske Automotive Group.

Now, Sally has stepped into full ownership of the company she co-founded eight years ago, making OWL Automotive Consulting a woman-owned business serving hundreds of dealerships across the United States.

And throughout her career, Sally has made it a priority to invest in others as a mentor, advisor, and advocate for the next generation of automotive professionals.
