A chip doesn’t have to look terrible to be worth checking.

Sometimes the little one you barely notice is the one that decides to spread when you least expect it. If you’re looking at yours and wondering whether it can still be repaired, send me a photo before assuming you need a whole new windshield. 📸

Sometimes replacing a cracked windshield uncovers something you weren’t expecting.

On this 2018 F-150, I found that the previous windshield installation had been done pretty poorly. Since the glass was already coming out, I was able to address those issues and make sure the new windshield was installed the way it should have been in the first place.

A few months later, no leaks and everything is holding up exactly as it should. That’s the kind of follow-up I love hearing. 🙌

I also appreciate this customer trusting me to pick up the truck from their workplace in Southlake, get the job taken care of, and bring it back so their day didn’t have to stop for a windshield replacement.

Sometimes it is, but sometimes I get to give them better news.
If the damage can reasonably be repaired, I’ll tell you. If replacement makes more sense, I’ll explain why. I want you to understand what’s going on with your vehicle before you make a decision. 👍

🚘 Modern vehicles have a lot more technology attached to the windshield than many people realize.

When certain windshields are replaced, the vehicle may require ADAS recalibration so systems that rely on cameras continue working properly. 🛡️

It's not needed on every vehicle, but it's something worth discussing whenever windshield replacement comes up.
